The RNS is a regulated service. It is there to only give news on aspects that CAN have a negative or positive effect on the share price and its fundamentals. Such as being ahead of forecasts, being behind on forecasts, major contract wins that may affect performance etc etc.
I do accept that some businesses on AIM flaunt these rules by detailing partner deals etc that actually might not make any difference to their financial position BUT Novacyt do not.
They play it straight down the line, possibly due to two lots of regulations being on two markets who knows but todays tweet about picking up the new Variants in France is significant and should support sales but not significant in its own right to fully justify a Regulated News release.

Far too many things going on in the background now
IMO we can expect a nice spread of updates through to the full accounting release and the H1 results.
Cash at Bank must be north of £130m by now so i'm expecting acquisition news in addition to the major contract news which i think is a given , the product releases and i still think something left of field could land such as a major California deal now that Perkin Elmer have dropped the ball out there, plus central states especially since the recruitment of the team stateside and then we have non covid deals on top.
Its looking better than ever and the lemmings haven't started piling in yet, just wait until the first bit of contract news lands we will be back to regular 80-£1.20 price lifts again..

Totally agree
It was also refreshing that the new Novacyt PR was straight on the case highlighting the fact that the technology can detect the French variant.
This as we know being a significant Variant that is currently going undetected on numerous other Covid tests in France.
This has to bode well for French product sales now.

Get that Trachoma is to do with a virus that causes Blindness hence logical that Novacyt would likely look at advanced testing solutions in that direction?

What excites me is that the vast bulk of these roles when you dig into them are NHS related across the 7 main territories. I mean this just has Phase 2 written all over it??

Its a case of how much and over what period now NOT If...

Once this lands it will seriously improve the SP outlook, the longer the contract period the better.

Obviously, vaccination continues to be essential but moreover the next gen antibody test that Novacyt are about to release I believe will have fairly strong support.

Without doubt a percentage of the population are going to want to know what amount IF any antibodies they may have in their system to protect against getting this virus.

It will be Interesting to see what the next move will be from Novacyt in its acquisitions hunt.

We debated this a few weeks back and concluded that rather than go for a bigger play that could use up the bulk of the war chest reserves, they would be more likely to add a series of smaller plays where they could add value.

The cash pile must already be north of £ 130m now so a move must be due anytime now.

As an NED myself in two other businesses, in this position, I would certainly be advising to spend some capital as there is no benefit to the company just to have cash sitting there not being put to good use. A 20% Return on investment is the expected level from acquisitions V current low interest rates for cash just held on deposit.

The company have specifically stated that they are on the hunt for acquisitions but no moves yet since the earlier IT-IS move.

After the mobile Versa Lab news it really feels like https://www.cignpostdiagnostics.com/ could be the next move. The company fits the profile perfectly. It could be broken away from Cignpost Health and would enable Novacyt to expand its mobile lab roll out and its position with UK Airports. As a bonus the business is based out of Farnborough, so its less than 6 miles from Novacyt.

This would be a great move but there will be others and I am specifically interested in what they may find in other diagnostics verticals.

Just to let you know i did read your reply.
I accept that you are passionate about your investment. We will remain polls apart regarding this company. It is not professional of me nor would it popular for me to do a "Quickdraw" here and write post after post of negative reasons and engage in battle, all it would do is P@ss off loads of pro-avacta shareholders and there is no benefit to me in doing that.
Investors here can do their own research and come to own conclusions.
