RE: Here's to Tomorrow.....24 Aug 2022 23:01
Agree Obsolete on the TR1s. It’s now more than ever in no one’s interests to have any bad news hidden in the results. Selling hbr shares is/was the only way for some to take profit on their original stake, as it is/was the only tradable holding of the fund. The reserveds downgrades etc were all early parts of the cleansing process, and the share transfer on the lows of the year to mitigate the amount of tax paid, was sensational (as an eig fund holder), if hadn’t bern do painful for the rest of us.
But now hold or sell, everybody is aligned to want this share price higher and to maximise returns. More buy backs a given, dividend increase highly likely, reserves adjustment upwards probable. WT will be defended accordingly, cash generation and debt repayment quicker than the human eye. There’s a buzzard in the air …?, this surely isn’t the shocker of the lacklustre Dec 21 cmd, which emptied the skeletal closet. My 446s prediction will be in the rear view mirror ….then again ….sleep well
