Another revenue stream, so any concerns over missing out on the real time high throughput testing can hopefully be put to bed.

Agreed. It wasn’t clear with the separate companies where the margins in their joint solution sat. Now they’re all in one company which makes it much clearer. There’s been previous hints from Gerry that they’re pleased with affimers. Hopefully we’ll get an update soon. I think there’s some really good ongoing revenues to be had from this collaboration

Fully agree with the first post in this thread. When I was researching initially I wondered why they were separate companies given the synergies. Great news, the combined group will be more efficient and stronger for it.

You don't need a PE precisely because of the possibility that a vaccine will emerge or it will die out. If it was recurring, then I'd be very confident of £100 exc China. If we end up sat on a cash pile equivalent to £10 a share then that would be equally factored (give or take) in the share price. There's an argument due to the oncology work it could unlock that we should be priced higher.

Don't forget ongoing monitoring. We've been told that this might not disappear. The huge numbers of tests might not be needed on an ongoing basis once it's controlled, agreed - but you would want monitoring and you would want a stockpile of tests to follow up with. Recurring revenues based on $15 a month per installed sh.tty unit, globally, shouldn't be ignored - this could have a PE applied.

It’s an administered swab test for people with symptoms. It’s not close to a game changer. So the uplift is modest at $30Bn on their share price :o)

It all depends on scale for Awacta. Once Boris is stood at a lectern dribbling away, every man and his dog will be wanting to buy shares. If we can secure manufacturing capability in the many millions, then the share price will fly. That said, I think similarly to Abbott we’ll scale up over time, unless they’ve started the tech transfers with other manufacturers under NDA.

You know me, I’m not one for just plucking out silly numbers out of the air, but just think about the potential here. That number of tests covers less than half the US population for one test. We will sell every test at top dollar.

150m tests at $15 a pop = $2.25Bn = £1.7Bn = £6.80. One order, one country.

Incidentally, the time gap between their design freeze and tech transfer shows two things. Huge confidence by Sir Al that they’re on to a winner to crack straight on and that they’re doing everything they can to condense the timescales. Awacta deserve a huge amount of credit for pushing the boundaries of what’s technically possible and no doubt they’re putting in a lot of overtime and this will be another bank hol they’ll be working.

I hope we soon get to see an equally enthralling short video watching the ink dry on the contract with Trump for $Bns.

Easily done, just embrace it but remember if you’re picking out a future share price, never, under any circumstances, justify it - even if Trump has just done exactly that.
