TL, I take your point that demand won’t be as high as that in the U.K. forever, but.... the sh.tty test isn’t immediately available either so someone thing needs to happen before then. It’s clear that the figure of 30m/week is part of the discussions with govt (nudge nudge, say no more). Full population screening for a period of time will be needed to get on top of it and get the numbers low enough for track and trace to be effective. This will also mean it’ll fit in a spreadsheet from the 1980s which is handy.
If, at that point, say in 6 months time the U.K. govt demand reduces, so what? I’m sure they’ll want some stockpiled for starters. There’s still the rest of the globe so I’d imagine having scaled up Awacta can continue to sell at high volume. Why wouldn’t other countries want the best test in the world? Especially as by then the U.K. will have demonstrated its effectiveness.
