As for Skin, there’s still great potential there, the sh.tty test would be fantastic for surveillance. Not quite as convinced by their breathalyser, but if they pull it off it’s all good for Awacta as they are using affimers.

It’s probably just for a week, they’ll produce a few antibody tests and then realise what a complete waste of time it was.

I’d invest in ncyt, it’s lower risk. They were tipped in Shares Mag this week as they’re trading on a low multiple so there’s plenty to come. They can use the piles of cash to pivot the business so there’s further potential beyond Covid despite people feeling they’ve just got lucky and are one trick.

Just kidding, you should sell everything you own and buy shares in here. They’re at the heart of operation moonshot and on the cusp on making billions in cold hard profits. Just when you think they’ve got enough cash, they’re planning curing cancer and making billions more. Now repeat everything you’ve just said, but replace infection and immunity with vaccine. All of the current situation is whilst everyone awaits a miraculous vaccine. Will it work? How long will it last? What happens when everyone gets reinfected? What about the long term health implications of a rushed vaccine? Full suppression via testing is probably the safest way out, but it requires a huge amount of global effort, coordination and compliance. They should get the army in, dish out ration packs for 3 weeks food and lock down the planet. Simples.

Pretty sure masks were brought in to try and give the public some confidence to go out and get the economy going. Same idea as the eat out scheme. Sometimes science has to take a backseat to politics and the economy, it’s a balancing act. That said, there’s less chance of particles being sprayed as far with a mask and so in combo with social distancing there probably is some limited benefit. The WHO do tend the change their minds, they were a fan of rapid antigen tests but have come around to them. Sir Al doesn’t seem fussed as he’s focussed on the UK, but if he fancied signing up more than one huge manufacturer in Asia Pacific I’m sure he could get our test approved by the FDA and WHO and we could be selling globally.

Pigster, spot on, the short term aim is getting from 250k up to 500k per day. That’s where the addition to lighthouse labs and the various machines come in. The real leap is getting to 30m a week and that is only possible with an at home saliva LFD. There is only one and it has just been referenced by a parliamentary group. 120m tests per month is equal to £1.2Bn revenue. Our PCR chums recently got a £250m contract and have leapt above our mcap up to over £600m. The mind boggles how much share price growth is to come. Finncap suggest up to £3-£8 on confirmed capacity, at full capacity we should be a multiple of that.

That screams that they're awaiting the game changer despite the mention of a lab test. There isn't the capacity to carry out mass screening in a lab, they're already at the limit. I'm surprised they haven't taken up some of the poor imitations just to help to ramp up whilst they await awacta's test, but maybe they feel they want to launch in a consistent way. Sending out swabs one week and then saliva tests that link to an app the next would potentially undermine moonshot.

Should probably say I agree with your assessment for both companies, Awacta are lined up for moonshot billions. Braveheart will hopefully have a USP or two that will see them gain market share globally. The mcap is peanuts compared to the potential

Morning GLR, it's a similar approach to Awacta. The detection uses aptamers so there won't be any amplification so the risk of false positives for those not not infectious should be low. As the aptamers aren't affimers, I'm not sure how specific it will be. The preview of the results suggested that it may be able to determine viral load which would be amazing, a fast result along with an indication of where you are in the cycle would be very valuable for isolation. There's not a huge amount of information available though, Carl Smythe is on twitter and might be up for giving further technical detail.

What’s the oops? They’re raising cash that values them at $1bn from $100m in sales. If the govt are planning on getting 100m tests a month for 12 months, Awacta will have sales of $12bn, what do you think we should be worth?
