I think Sir Al has shown the greatest ambition with the greatest reward. He could have churned out a test and joined the same long queue that GDR is in, he could have commercialised the Elisa test. He’s chosen to develop an LFD and more than that, an at home version. It’s a bit of a sh.t or bust approach as the at home requirements add to the complexity of making it simple for the lay user in the masses. However, once achieved, it’s where astronomical revenues can be found. No risk, no reward for everyone, company and shareholders alike.

A vaccine won’t be effective enough, even if it was 100% you’d be reliant on the vast majority taking it and that won’t happen. It won’t be near 100% effective so it won’t stop the spread. Mass screening will reduce r0, breaking transmission chains should get infection levels down to the point that track and trace becomes effective. Rapid antigen tests are the direction we’re now heading and at home testing is the ultimate goal. Whilst it’s been fairly tedious waiting, I’m sure it’ll be worth it.

Phase 3 requires 4000 tests. Sir Al has told us that they’re producing 4,000 tests for validation.

Innova completed phase 2 end of August, last week they received a contract, so that’s 7 weeks and that’s a maximum given the Falcon set up that’s now in place.

Not a useful example. When did the actual validation start? It says they were beginning work, but not that validation was starting. Anyone got any concrete examples of how long validation takes, not how long it takes to be involved in condor. Condor are now up and running, so no information can be gleaned from anything to date. The time for validation of the LFD will be faster than 3 months and counting.

As for ncyt running amok, I’d hate to throw in some facts to ruin your miserable story, but the total number of tests conducted so far in all of 2020 by ALL providers added together is fewer than the number of tests that will be carried in ONE WEEK of mass testing. Tortoise and hare.

I also thought that was strange, but my guess is that Sir Al’s strength is in the lab on the technical side rather than commercially. They could have commercialised that months ago.

Sir Al has previously said an LFD will cost $25, $15 in bulk, so around a tenner.

I’m not interested in that article, it’s not about our test. I’ll patiently wait to be updated by Awacta in an RNS rather than gormlessly speculate that any and every mention of an LFD is any form of media is us.
