Personally I’m confident and have no concerns as other than a perceived delay based on unrealistic expectations by the CEO there has been nothing to suggest the final product won’t be of the highest quality. Since then he’s given a much more sensible broad timescale and said that he won’t compromise on that quality. So the only thing that is uncertain is the timescale. That doesn’t bother me at all, I’m in no rush and they will sell everything they’ll make. I’ve been adding, thanks to paydays and some luck elsewhere and will continue to do so.

Ok, so you agree. Yet you’re concerned, so you took some risk off the table. Has that reduced your concern? If not, sell more. Keep going until you’re comfortable.

We haven’t got a test yet, how could it be approved? When it’s manufactured at scale, why do you think it won’t be approved? Sir Al is confident it will exceed requirements to identify people during the infectious period. Why aren’t you confident?

I don't believe a vaccine will ever be effective, flu vaccines aren't, why should a new one? Also, the take up would need to be extremely high. To be effective, 70% need immunity and I don't see it happening. I'm imagining in the longer term there'll be ongoing monitoring and tactical distribution of LFDs to suppress it.

As for other test makers and missing the boat, again, are we overwhelmed with saliva LFDs yet? Nope... there aren't any. Orasure and E25 went back to the drawing board. The FDA won't approve a swab test for home use. There is astronomical demand for a saliva LFD. They will sell everything they make whenever it arrives so why worry about 'a few weeks', once fully ramped up that's £1.2bn revenue a month. Our market cap = £450m. News will arrive 'shortly' I'm sure. 3 weeks in to Q4 and the weaker holders are selling. Never mind eh?

I wonder why he’s wondering, Sir Al has told us they’re planning to run the lay user study in parallel with the clinical validation, hence the 10,000 LFDs rather than just the 4,000 needed.

Because they’re available. Once we have a test to be validated, we’ll be evaluated. We can’t complain at the govt when we haven’t completed tech transfer.

You’re absolutely right, I apologise for my aggressive use of the phrase ‘good for you’. Hope everyone is ok, I’m sure we could get some counselling arranged if anyone has been affected.

I’m confident Sir Al will sell what every they make. I couldn’t really care if it’s the UK or elsewhere, but all indications are that it’ll be in the UK. Anyone worrying because another test has been procured probably needs to stretch their eyes a bit further afield. No matter where they get flogged £1.2bn / month is revenue is worth a bit on the share price. My advice is speculate to accumulate, but mainly to DYOR and ignore anyone giving out advice.
