I read that article earlier, quite a depressing thought as it feels like there’s no end in sight, but it’s looking more and more likely we’ll have to live with it. Today we’ve heard antibodies don’t last and that a vaccine will only stop symptoms and so wouldn’t stop infections. If there are no options when it comes to immunity, then it’s all about breaking the transmission chains. The only option that’s left is regular mass screening, ongoing monitoring and then tactical screening to control outbreaks as part of effective track and trace.
