It's obvious that the derampers will always attack the LFT timelines (until such time as it arrives) as they ain't here to sing Avacta's praises or send the SP soaring. But the main reason for them being a problem is because people on here react to them so emotionally and through being so easy to wind-up. That is precisely what they are after. The best way to deal with them is through factual posts such as yours, Larsh. Nice one.

Sujood, some would say that your comment, "We still have a few days before the presentation so hold tight" is sneaky deramping in itself IE Pretending that you're doing us a favour when you are actually setting up a false deadline. The arrival of any news will happen when they are ready.

One aspect of this Maharashtra variant that I would question but which the media appears to have missed, it was only two weeks ago that many across India totally ignored government advice and took part in a countrywide religious festival. Whilst this variant is of concern, those nation wide crowds undoubtedly contributed to their current dilemna.

I'm not expecting an LFT announcement before Thursday because I don't have a crystal ball. I do know that AS does like to present some good news 'contract wise' before meetings such as this but that is no guarantee.

Bearing in mind that the MM's aim is to stay one step ahead of the investors, I believe that some of the FDA approval is already built into the price. There will obviously be a decent jump in the SP when that approval comes but imo (which is based largely on gut feeling!) it will be the contracts an sales news that will really boost us. That and the growing realisation amongst longer term investors that this is a high quality company / product in the early stage of commercialisation. That, alone, makes it worth investing in.

SageTrade, you clearly haven't read my previous posts on here ref. the rampers & derampers, the former of which will undoubtedly tell you that I am 'anything but' a member of the "happy clappy brigade". Even if that happens, it will only be of concern to those needing money they perhaps shouldn't have invested with a 'short term' outlook, which you clearly have not been daft enough to do. If it drops and in view of the longer term prospects, just view it a a 2-3 year fixed deposit account :-)

I have always felt that a CE intra day RNS is far more likely that an 0700 offering. Those dealing with the application work 'office hours' and notification will almost certainly arrive within that time period.

Might the 6 month contracts be to enable them to review where they are with Covid come the potentially dangerous autumn / winter season and then either extend or wait?

First time I've really listened to this guy. What a self important, egotistical little man whose first sentence in the interview involved telling us rather pompously how busy he is "with all this", like he is the epicentre of government policy - or feels he should be. I cannot help but wonder if he has an issue with AS, perhaps originating from the time when the latter's views were being sought by Downing Street, hence Deeks' almost obsessive anti-LFT agenda. Was this guy's nose perhaps put out of joint at that point? He might be an academic but he comes across as almost a 'bullying' rather than 'persuasive' in his beliefs. Whatever, he is clearly very full of his own self importance.

We all know the case for the LFT but anybody committed to a point of relying solely on that will only have one person to blame if it doesn't work out.

Two years down the line with the cancer trial news evolving? People have short memories and the buying opportunities will become evident - for those who can still afford to take advantage of them. But hey! The LFT is still a strong possibility at some stage.
