Cheers, as always, beinthelead, but I do want our friend to elaborate based upon his knowledge of the respective CT figures, or rather his opinion of mine. Being honest, he can probably quote figures as I could but as for understanding them? I have my doubts.

@speranza, the fact that they are not THAT far away from each other. Go on, educate me because at the moment it looks as though your statements are as sweeping as my own. Talk me through where you see the huge differences on the CT front between these two tests?

It does seem like a very good test to me and similar in quality to our own. A poster yesterday highlighted news on Mologic's website from mid April. Assuming this is referring to the latest test, it does sound as though it might be quite pricey, the 'results reporting' aspect especially. Maybe not so if it is only a 'registered barcode' with no visible readout - which cut down on people fiddling through proxy tests. I wonder if that aspect is optional? Anyway, here's that item:

He may well be a troll - probably an ODX holder (possibly even mb, judging by the writing style) - but if so, he is only reacting to some of what has been said by Avacta holders on this board and theirs. Some on here who profess to be Avacta holders only attack ODX in because they know how this could affect our own SP. Don't bite, shut down these threads because for every action there will be a reaction (of the type below).

PAH00, very much appreciate the reply. I am probably at a similar level to what you have said re. understanding Affimers but I guess the real root of my question is down to my long term nagging awareness that LFT performance as a platform has historically never come really close to what Avacta appears to have produced. If the Affimers alone are responsible then this is a massive vindication of the technology and its future. I don't think the scale of this achievement is fully understood or appreciated by many outside of Avacta itself, myself included to date. Thanks again and enjoy your weekend.

Ollyj24, the April 6th news highlights why I've asked the "dumb" question that I did below. Are Affimers solely responsible for the high quality of our / Molgic's test? Cheers for posting that. Interesting.

Ndn71, cheers for the response. I honestly think that the vast majority on here could not state categorically how they know that to be the case and, if our figures are purely down to the Affimer sensitivity alone, appreciate just how awesome that vindication is. Pretty basic question, I know, but at least I was willing to admit to my lack of scientific knowledge - or as PL75 calls it "research" :-)

Sometimes the obvious can pass us by when only focusing on the bigger picture. I've always assumed it to be the case but nobody with credibility has answered it so far on here with an explanation. Most of us were only interested in the S/S figures.

Is our higher quality performance purely down to the sensitivity of Affimers? Apologies if that seems like a pretty basic question but I won't be the only ignoramus on this front and it is fairly important.
