On the chart,the rise up from 178 appears to be a 3 wave correction , a corrective move and not a Bull move up.
That is what it appears to be saying, and it would take a fair bit to reverse this.
Any sharp move down on any Share chart can be followed by a V shaped recovery,like March 2020, but it normally needs a pause for a bit of base building at least,before it decides on it's next direction.
So as i see it,caution is needed,and a bit of sit and wait is the best policy at the moment.Of course i may have it all wrong,i do not have a monopoly on the truth about all things.But this is how i see things at the moment.

You took the words right out of my mouth.To the point exactly.Every point on the button.A lot of investors over invest which leaves them very little to take advantage of any downturns and therefore buy on the cheap.
Most ordinary people if coming into a windfall of say 100k go out and fully invest all their money the same day.They are told to have a balanced portfolio but not all the shares they buy are at their low points,and they then panic when a market panic happens and sell up (just like the covid panic and subsequent rebound ).
So as you say tactics and strategy play a great part in successful profit-making.Too much stress by over-investing,as you say, turns investors to act emotionally,and that's fatal.Put 2% of your investing capital in any one share only is a good maxim and keep some liquidity so that you can catch the bargains when they arise (never seen any recommendation s as to how much liquidity tho ).
Your punt strategy of buy and then put in a stop loss is what i do,and makes a lot of sense in all areas.
But hey,you put it better than me,so i reckon i'll just read what you say,and suggest other posters do likewise.

I posted in early 2018 that the future was online and predicted that it would really take off (covid made it happen sooner than i thought).I gave good sound reasons why it would flourish,but i was looking for an entry point at about 135 when the current price was about 160.
Even though i had already made positive remarks, suddenly posters became very hostile,and i pleaded with them to read my earlier posts.No such posts followed so i gave up posting as a waste of time.I take your point about wind up merchants who are a waste of time ,theirs and ours !!!!!.Too many "geezers" who do not know how to conduct themselves.
I do take your points seriously,and hope that we can all make money in the future.As Debra Meaden on Dragon's Den let slip,
"the High Street is finished",and this was before Covid !!!!,so Boohoo et AL should flourish in the long term.

The reason i post on here even tho i am not a holder,is that i HOPE to buy in the future,and am looking for an entry point.
How many holders on here bought Boo,but never looked at this Boo site BEFORE they bought ?.

Of course posters comment before they buy.They are looking for reasonable response from posters putting forward facts and figures explain their point of view.That way you take everything in,and then make up your mind.
Is this rocket science ?,didn't think it was,yet every day i get surprised.I'd like to get surprised by reasonable logical points of views by posters.Give reasons for an opinion,not just yaa boo like the football terraces.We're beyond that.

This is NOT how people have a discussion about things.Ridiculous.Do you think fund managers from different firms at a function talk to each other like this,when they discuss a company ?.
Why be personal ?.For instance ,i only think on balance (i use charts ) that it looks a bit dodgy at the moment.If it skyrockets,i will take pleasure in the fact that some investors on here have got out of trouble.I wouldn't have made money myself,but there again i wouldn't have lost money either.
So it really doesn't matter if posters have reservations about Boo shares.Their comments are NOT going to move the shares downwards, because the money men are not the least bit interested in comments made on here.
So get real,and dial it down a bit.

Correct,and as we know,and as you say,when making decisions re money,or buying shares,they should not be made in any part on an emotional basis.

It is an absolute joy to read a post that is so perceptive and ticks all the right boxs.Please please keep on posting on here.
Same for Wyndrum and Pedro ,(and some others whose names escape me at the mo,but know by my positive replies),keep on posting.
The observation about nothing being black or white,right or wrong,is very perceptive.I have seen on the the Centrica site,that Kelloggs poster got so much flak that he disappeared.He like me posted at circa 136 that Centrica's next support was at around 86p.He like me was howled down by irate holders.Suggested that at 63p was a possible trade (put on 50%) and at around 30p i said that it was possibly wort a punt,but then posted that i wasn't sure,and suggested an alternative scenario,(blast it,missed out on 100% profit),just wasn't sure.
So my advice to posters is to LISTEN to everyone on here,find out who makes the best calls,and use them in conjunction with your own point of view.
DYOR is a good maxim,tho do your own calcs even if its from left field,what works works,develop your own equations to enhance your skills.

I never realised that the factual truth about anything,could be at both ends of the scale.There again 70 million voters thought that Donald Trump was the best man to run there life.Needs to be an i in run methinks.

On the Chart,the pullback from the 89p low,doesn't look very good pattern-wise.Tho,are these up moves being mistaken for Bull market moves.And are they really Bear Market rallies ?.
The move up in markets from the pandemic low look a lot like a Bear Market rallies,chart-wise.

Well, valid point,there is the old adage of course that "the Market hates uncertainty".Let's see what happens.

Apparent lack of clarity !!!.Points apparently not been put over properly,or understood.I never thought it would be so confusing.We are all trying to make money,yet we are miles apart.I don't get it.
No wonder when i watch a "drama" on telly i have to wind it back to catch what they have said.I only put forward what i think is happening and going to happen based on a percentage call.Nothing is black or white,totally bullish or totally bearish.Why don't we dial it back a bit,and try and agree on anything.
Detractors on here blast posters for their views,but don't put up very good reasons for disagreeing.
Seems like some posters replies are based on an opinion,based on an opinion, and not facts,if you get my drift.

Very Sensible post.Any thoughts anybody about the strategy of,if you double your money in a share,sell half and let the rest ride.You could always try and trade in and out of what you have left in.Or for more less stressful life,just let it ride and concentrate on finding the next share that will double.
Any other strategies anyone ?.Always useful tips out there,so lets have some.

Please tell them on here that you will buy Boo for a trade,to make money on them,even in the short term.
If you don't,they will inevitably ask why you post on here.
So do them a favour,(they may want to average out),and tell them when you make a decision to buy Boo.
Myself,i'm looking for a bounce sometime in the future and hope to buy,and albeit make a short term profit.

Before you buy shares in a company,don't sit around all week looking at their share price.Then just go for a "nutmeg" guess as to what to do.

All i have seen in the last 4 years of looking at forums,is comments based on Fundamentals.All the way down !!!!.
Why can't we all agree that all angles,Fundamental and Technical are useful in arriving at a correct decision.
I have found that TA is very useful at finding entry points when you want to buy.

Bit of a trite comment/question about Mcklondon ?.He is probably like most of us.That is,hoping to be right more times than being wrong,and thus able to make a profit.
