I can't remember who you are,(MckLondon has disappeared ).Here's a question,in my limited knowledge of T.A. where are we chart wise, as regards to the rise since 97p.For instance, the rise to 123/128,is it in Elliott wave terms a 3 wave up move or is it a 5 wave up move.
To me it looks like a 5 wave which is bullish,and it looks as if the corrective move has very nearly just about finished (may well coincide with what will happen on Thursday ).If i am correct it should go up after Thursday and resume it 's Bull market move up.
If any of you T.A. guys out there disagree (and that would be perfectly ok),please give me your take on things and offer some explanations.
Of course if any posters out there don't do T.A.,please could you refrain from commenting as your views have already been well aired.

Well if they sell at £5,they've have made a profit.I haven't researched boards i've researched share price movements and looked for common occurrences.For instance,Boo and Tesco both bottomed at 139/140p a few years back.Analyse how they got from top to bottom ,all the deviations on the way down,find out what is common.Then do the same with other shares using all you have found out and written down as algos or equations,and see if they bottomed anywhere near your algo/equations.Simples,probability theory.
Logical thinking really,especially if you can find a poster who specialises in Fundamental analysis !!!,who are quite good in their field.That would make it really profitable.
I shall do more looking than posting in the future,and look to see which posters get it right.It's the same on other sites,though it takes a hell of a lot of sifting !!!.It's all about an exchange of knowledge and opinions.Lets see who gets it right from now on.
Personally i don't think that even a double bottom shouldn't worry punters in the future,it could have well finished it's correction from 128 anyway.So the next few weeks should be interesting.The market makers will try of course to shake out weak holders,but sit tight is the way to go for now.Good luck,but i don't think we'll need it anyway.

Who says i only used one,it's only the one that mentioned.I didn't say that you invested on blind faith,my point was about posters in general,of which you are only one.
I keep on pushing home the point about the behaviour of posters on forums.You keep on thinking that every thing that i say is specifically about you.It isn't.Any buy,ANYTIME,and lose 43% in a few weeks is a mistake.
If it isn't a mistake,I'D HATE TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THEY DO MAKE A MISTAKE !!!!.Irrespective of the fact that they hope to make money on them in the long term.WELL we won't know that for a while now will we ?.So let's not write it up as a given JUST YET !!!!!!!.
If anybody has a good track record ,such say as Norges has got, how do we know that this time is the time that they get it wrong.Even Warren Buffet gets things wrong sometimes.You are asking for an awful lot of faith,you may well end up being correct.As i have said before ,i only question posters approach to things.
If you believe in probabilities,why are you so hostile with people's comments where they only ask that posters be on their guard ?.i'm all about probabilities,that's why i look roughly every 4 months after a bottom.Keeps me on my toes.
As for research about a share.How am i supposed to put algos and equations on here ?.i'd be here for DAYSwriting them all down.Wouldn't leave much time for new research would it ?
My first love was betting,that's why i had the 18-1 winner at Sandown on Sat.But my algos got to be out slightly,.
It's annoying to back number 34 in the National when no.35 wins.I'ts all about math,probabilities.Then i thought hey ,all i need to be is in the correct ballpark figure as to when it bottoms.That and using the TA that i learned in the eighties i have given it a go.I crave clever people.I got fed up with bookie shop punters who knew nothing,so i shut them up by saying rhat a race was between 26 and 14.26 beat 14 ,47/1 for the win and 592/1 for the forecast.I left them speechless,i got fed up with it so now i am on here.
I have been on here about a month as it is not much of a point in going on a site when it's nowhere where you think the bottom is.So thats why i've only appeared here lately.You yourself don't go into stuff fully on here as research that you know would take ages to put over,facts, figures,algos ,equations [that's how i describe how i wright them anyway }.
Besides as i say it gets in the way of new research,also of course if you find something out of left field it's best not to divulge anyway.I'm only here as it's a Sunday.Good luck anyway with this,besides i one day hope to make money out of Boo as online i believed as far back as 2016 'ish was where everything was going to eventually end up.Pity i never realised before that covid was coming, as it has certainly sped up the rush for online.One day profit will come from the S. P.

Besides my post was about the point that even well considered market readers (i.e. Norges },can make a mistake,so why do posters on here believe that they cannot possibly be wrong ?.Did i say that Norges were a bunch of idiots ?,er no !!!!.

Cast doubt ?,my comments like "steady as she goes "," nothing wrong with the shape on the chart since the low of 97p ",a hold recommendation.Just what is doubtful about those comments ?.
As for transparent,perhaps you shouldn't be reading THROUGH the words that people post but actually READ them.
Predictive text seems to be spilling over into peoples brains,as to what people THINK a person is saying and not to what they actually have written !!!!.
I have never ever said on this board that i am a Bear of Boo,i just made the point that it was best to be realistic about the possibility of being wrong ,and to have an open mind,and to NOT rely on BLIND FAITH.Believe that you are correct in your analysis,but always have the capacity to believe that you may be wrong,and be in a position to realise it.
And what i have written here is precisely WHAT I DO MYSELF.So by all means disagree with me i don't mind,and remember i never ever have said that your analysis i wrong.I'ts just the way that you and other posters approach things that i have a problem with.

Don't u get it ?.The posts are about the psychology of posters,as i have explained before !!!.The LINK that you refer to,was about Boo and Centrica's posters,in that when the S.P's of both companies was riding high,they both were saying the same things,then andall the way down afterwards.
For instance,nobody can say buying at 175, 350 or 450 for a share that hit 97p the other day is ok ,as "it is a foregone conclusion that it will eventually in 3 to 5 years go up to £5 plus".
I can get a tramp off the street to average down all the way down to 97p,,and then say"it's ok it will eventually go up to £5 plus".We are SUPPOSED to be a bit more cleverer than that !!!!!?.

The only thing i have doubt about is the over-confidence of posters in that they are 100% correct.Norges took a calculated risk in buying at 175.although we look to the long term,but we are supposed to get in SOMEWHERE near the bottom.
,and not end up sitting on a 43 % loss.
My post wasn't about Boo !!!!!,it was about posters adopting an over-confident view about how they approach decisions.
Something that could apply to Norges,maybe.posters seem to be missing my point,again !!!.
As for seeding doubt,have a look at my posts since 97p (which i posted was the last support price that i had calculated ).
Since then i have given a confident vote that all was ok with the rise (so far ) since 97p,and put in a hold recommendation since.
So much for casting doubt !!!!.More like a realistic analysis,rather than a" let's pop the Champagne" before we have even sold at a profit attitude !!!!!.
As for one poster suggesting i get a grip.If ,let's say a broker, recommended a share for me to get into,and i bought and it lost 43% in a couple of weeks.The only grip i'd be doing is feeling for the grip on a Baseball bat !!!!!.

Norges Bank who everybody on here says are smart,bought in at circa 175p.Seeming that smart people can make mistakes,why is it on here that everybody on here is 100% sure that their position as to being long or short about Boo is correct ?.
By all means put forward an opinion,but no need to be rabid about it ?.

No need to worry about the sharp fall ?.Well chart-wise as far as i can see, it can do a double bottom no problem.
But it then depends what happens after.Bulls shouldn't worry at the moment,it's hopefully doing a pullback from 128.4p.Double bottoms at this stage do happen .The worry would be if it closes below 97p in the next week or so,but even then it could be a ploy to shake weak holders out of their position.It may not be a good thing at the moment if it reverses back to 128 as quickly as it has fallen.It needs a more slower climb up,that would signal a bottom,and a continuation of a more longer upward move.
It is very hard to read everything clearly,even those on here that speak from a fundamental viewpoint can't agree.
So those on here ?.Well one wonders how they can be soooooooooooooooooooo confident that they are right and all with opposing views sooooooo wrong.
Suggest we dial it back a bit .Remember views are one thing ,but it still needs to be translated as to what it means for the S.P.

Yes well,whatever you find that works,works.Do enough of them and whatever you come up with,even if it's from out of left field you should take notice.
Perhaps those looking for King Solomons mines in Africa,should ponder that maybe the entrance to it is in China,if you get my drift.Investors should do their own research.One problem is that people end up analysing SOMEBODY ELSE'S analysis that they maybe have read in a paper etc.DYOR find out what moves markets,and go on from there,and especially ,keep an open mind.

Perhaps MW has looked at the chart ?..Dodgy time for Boo,chart LOOKS,i say looks as if it MAY be starting to curl over,needs to be watched carefully.These next few weeks are crucial if it is to continue on it's way up.
On a separate point,if no Furlough,what affect on the economy and Boo ?.
That's a question that needs to be answered.

Rich,you have just made the case that using a Fundamental approach is so interpretive as to be worthless.ok by me.
"There is more than one way to skin a cat ",well yes i know that but i hoped for a response as to what i said in my post that was specifically about the Fundamental approach.
Although my post was heavy on questions to ponder,some posters seem to be under the impression that i have made statements and drawn conclusions to which they have commented,which in fact to a large part i have not given.

I listen and take note of all the posts on here.Some display far too much confidence,as if there is no chance of them being wrong.If you get everything right in life re investments,you wouldn't be posting on here.Forums are supposed to be a learning process as to who's clever and who's not.
I listen to everybody on here who gives a reason ,for their opinions.I'll ask a question,(remember it's a question and not a statement ).One poster went through the fundamentals of Boo,Results,updates ,number crunching,and came up with a 162p value for the share.It is based on "what is KNOWN ",it's in the past.The question is ,how much of what is Known is already discounted in the share price ?.How do we answer this if we take the maxim that the market is forward looking ?.
That is just one of the problems of using a fundamental approach.So how do we get around this problem,if we rely on fundamentals alone ?.Remember ,don't forget,this is a question,no criticism is implied.

Fira is quite correct,he has sensibly put the case for the bulls and the bears.Positive but cautious is indeed the order of the day.
I was given a chart book for Christmas,and i couldn't help seeing a chart pattern that virtually mirrors booho's fall from 373p.
The chart comes after a explanation of higher highs and lower lows,and reads as follows "it may look promising on the chart ;however,trading in those situations is super risky ".So you see,not bearish ,but not bullish either.It warns that one has to be on ones toes and have a strategy ready for whatever happens.
As Fira says,positive but cautious.There is nothing on the chart from it's rise from 97p that is not positive,but it needs to be watched carefully and analysed.News is coming Jan 14th ?,circa anyway.It will be decisively important as to determining the next important move whether up or down.While we are at it,there is no written law that a V shape recovery on a chart WILL always happen if it has happened before.After a very sharp fall the next pattern is on a percentage basis always a period of consolidation and an attempt at base building.This can take quite a while.So let's see what happens.

Dan i for one welcome and respect all opinions,and i take on board what you say.There is an issue with some posters who say things but give no reason as to why they said it.
problem is that when asked for facts,to put it this way both parties can claim that their interpretation of the facts is correct and that your interpretation is wrong.So where do we go from there ?.But i take your point.Your detractors will of course put forward their case as they see it.Having not followed the posts that you have got into with your detractors i can't comment.
I try to see all points and monitor the price moves and give a chartists view of things,i.e. to the best of my ability.
Other chartists may well tell me that my analysis is wrong,and i would then read their comments with interest.
None of us however clever can claim to be the fount of all knowledge,as if it was that easy for things such as T.A. and fundamental analysis everybody would be millionaires.So we all have the capacity for getting it wrong.
Trouble is that many posters think that are so right and talk as if there is no chance of them being wrong.Such attitude is incredibly stupid.All we can do is see and note all posters comments and make a reasoned decision as to their worth.
As i have said before on here,we all have the same goal,to make money!!.

City big boys are not reading this site and taking notice.Even Norge couldn't stop the selling,so why does anybody think that on here anyone person or group can crash the market,etc.

I would not be the least bit worried if it went to 111p from here or even a bit lower.Because that would fit in with pause that it is going through.After the pause it should continue it's move on up .
Well that's how i see it anyway.Nothing looking wrong on the chart as far as i can see.UNLESS there are chart followers out there that disagree ?.Would love to here from them,whatever their opinion.Instead of posters moaning about other posters out there,how about responding to me?,re opinions etc.
