George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
I will agree it is a significant contract, and long may that continue, would love to see this carry on going up and up, but we all know that's not how markets generally work. Would you like to know what else is SIGNIFICANT , yep there DEBT , which you also might need to check the meaning of in the dictionary, also they have been loss making for at least the last six years, lets just not get ahead of ourselves, excitement is one thing, but lets just take one step at a time.
magmanus, 28m was last years revenue 2019, cant find 2020 forward looking expectations, though to be fair i haven't over looked for them , but for the last three years that has dropped each year and don't see that as being any different for the 2020 accounts. Also you can't add the whole of the new contract win to this years revenue, its a three year contract, so that's only £7.5 m per year, and that won't kick in until next years accounts. So i'm estimating next years revenue including the contract win being at about £25m, which is a long long way away from yours. Fag packet maths i know, contract wins are great, and i hope they have many many more of them, but the figure that worries me the most is the £30.4m of debt.
It really is a case of avoid anything Jim Mellon is involved with, he used to be referred to as the UK's Warren Buffet, but he is nothing of the sort, he is only in it for himself and treats shareholders dreadfully, look at his history Summit, Diabetic Boot Company and Plethora, every shareholder shafted. Did think this long term had a possible chance, but as soon as you think it might be getting somewhere, Jim wants to pull the plug.
Yes Vulcan, good luck with that
Welcome to aim and cr*p managers , who are only in it for themselves, they say it's in the best interest of the shareholders !!, no doubt they don't have shares any or have sold months ago, and will probably wangle themselves some kind of bonus once delisted.
Unfortunately you only have two options 1 Sell up and take the hit or 2 Vote against the delisting and hope many others do the same, but even then there is no guarantee.
Looks like someone is not happy today with a 15% drop, think Jim needs to stop talking and start doing, and one of the first thing he should do is find a new CEO, this has only been going backwards for the last three years, Jamie has been paid a lot of money for this being a failure, we need a new impetus
We have been waiting along time for this, hope the news is good
Think they are doing the best thing with the 'kitchen sink' method, just get everything out of the way and start afresh, will make the new boss look better too, as long as there is an improvement in results, lets hope for much better things, some of the old board though don't deserve to ever manage anything ever again, dreadful
When did Robbie Burns The naked Trader cover CTP, i'm a big fan of both (CTP and Robbie) but I've never seen him comment on CTP
Looks like its because they have won another 'Affinity Contract with the PCS The Public and Commercial Services Union, one of the biggest trade unions in the country with over 200,000 members, so hopefully supplying them all with pension planning, mortgages and Investment idea's, that's the third contract win or renewal this month. Personally i had thought LGT didn't have much higher to go, with a few more wins like this we should be well over 30 in no time.
Great national advertising for SOS today, just had one of their dresses on Good Morning, and two minutes later the missus couldn't manage to get on there website. Great stuff, thank you Good Morning. Hope their is a nice bunch of sales from it and more customers to boot.
A.H has finally stepped down, lets hope we can now get some movement with this company.
Not sure it was the share prophets, but Paul Scott (Stockopedia) who does have connections with TW and the share prophets has been heavily tipping this, so much so, he now owns 1% of the company. Though none of Pauls or TW share picks have been doing well over the last six months. I wonder what his views are at the moment !!!, other than oh sh**
