I'm sure someone can give you a proxy vote or some way of attending on somebody else's behalf, don't know how you do it but there must be a way
You can count me in for the AGM, wanted to go last year as I was definitely up for an argument but I was full of a cold, would still have dragged myself there if it was held in the afternoon. What's really annoying I only had one cold last year and the worst day was bang on the AGM.
Its still unusual, I would be surprised for someone to risk nearly £7k of their money on this tiny share which has been going backwards for two years without having some kind of information, other than that maybe they have too much money !!!!! There could be an even bigger shock, maybe one of the directors has finally got round to buying ??? I doubt it, but you never know !!!
Hi UselessTD, yes I was just the same as you not happy, was wondering if most of the brokers are going to be the same as they will all use a nominee accounts. Also wondering if the board of PEBI knew about this when setting up this tender offer as to limit the number of sells. Mr Mellon is a very good businessmen but that doesn't make him an angel.
Has anyone else been told by their broker that they are unable to process this tender (i'm with TD) because its a nominee holding. If you wish to take part in the offer then you will need to withdraw the shares in to your own name and then contact the registrar yourself. Which is almost fine and dandy but if you withdraw these from an ISA you wont be able to return the money to that account especially if you have already used up this years entitlement. Any thoughts anyone or is just I've got a rubbish broker. Cheers.
Yes, results out next Thursday the 22nd, lets hope for a good one
Like allex would love to agree with you, but unfortunately the company is certainly not shareholder friendly and looking at the sell of over 3 million today, I think somebody else has lost patience with the company. Don't get wrong I think they have a great product and wherever you go in this country there's always lots of Optare buses. I would love to know what the Hinduja brothers have in mind for this company, but it will always be for there benefit and not us poor shareholders.
Cheers, I bet the customer hasn't even paid for them yet, as they will probably pay on delivery, hope what ever channel it is can payout quick enough. Shame the ship didn't stay on the right channel !!!!!!!!!!!
newyorker, lets hope they were insured by somebody, and if there is a re-order if they can be made fast enough and are made with a profit.
I think you should give it a go, it all helps !!!!!!
Happy new year, lets hope 2015 can bring some good news to OPE, lets face it we need it. The brothers have plenty of spare change why don't they erase the debts, that way they could make more money rather than paying interest payments to the bank (and of course themselves). Good luck all
I think the next news will be a trading announcement around mid January, they announced 15th Jan last year/this year 2014. Here's hoping for some good news, about time this share got moving again.
I think mondo is quite correct, I am also sure the last loan was paid off. I think at the previous AGM they said this was either paid off or soon to be paid off, no wonder they would want to pay this off at 8%. I also think it was just before Barclays became there bank rather than HSBC. Hope newyorker can confirm this from AGM.
strange day on Friday, in the morning it was 87p up but by the end of the day it was 98p down a near 10% swing, love to know the reason for this, but i'm in this the share for the long term and still very confident it will continue good growth.
In some cases its not always positive news when Directors buy, but in this particular case these guys are making the most of poor market conditions to snap up as you rightly said as many shares as they can at these very cheap prices, in 6-12 months anybody who has bought in at these low prices will be very happy indeed.
Hello yes definitely a share to put away for a year or more and forget about the present problems and I am very positive about its future. It had been on my watchlist for a while as well but never had the availability of funds to buy at the right time and have bought in this week at 1880. Even though I have spread bet it a few times as well. Markets seem to be stabilising a little now so am hoping for a positive day tomorrow and hopefully just in time for a santa rally.
