Don't agree with your prediction at all, it didn't drop below £20 when they were actually fighting, so don't see any renewed fighting having that affect at all. Yes the general market conditions could have some affect, and I do see more drops coming on the Ftse maybe down to 5350/5400, but then I believe it will bounce back. I appreciate everybody has their own opinion, so will comment no more, just agree to disagree. And good luck with your trading.
Nice and steady, and a very quiet board, a good share to be in for the long term
Guys wasn't it JM who set up Port Erin Biopharma fund, so I would expect him to hold a good percentage of its holdings. After a good start to the day, shame on it ending flat.
Hi CM, been here for six months, I like Biotech and Pharmaceutical shares and have quite a few different companies, and quite liked the look of this, and a dividend to boot, what could be better. Share price currently not in a great place but i'm only just down so not to bad. Just like others I have all that is needed is patience and a couple of years, and by then this will be in a much better position. You been here long ?
Is a share to put in drawer, and leave it there for a few years, if not longer. For it to slowly and steadily mature and grow. Ignore the bouts of volatility, which to be fair a lot of shares are suffering with at the moment. But also allow for Russia being next door and the effects they can sometimes bring. But given time this share should do you very well.
Howdy chequemate
All I can say is what a very nice morning it is. Wish more of my shares would leap over 50% on a Monday morning !!
I do enjoy reading your posts as they are very informative, also you must spend a lot of time reading and studying information on Xch website and other websites. And I am grateful that you are willing to share that hard earned info with us on this bb. I wish we could all second guess the market, even though if we could I doubt very much that we would be here on this bb. Xch has certainly wrong footed us all in the past 12 months, with us wishing we had all sold our holdings at £1.90 (I was going to top slice mine at £2.00). But that is share's for you !!!. Once it went under a £1 I did load up a little bit with buying more shares and spreadbets. As I to now feel very positive about the company. It will never be a barn stormer, but hopefully with good news should now be a nice steady performer.
Chequemate, just realised our old mate Robbie tipped ALU on his last blog 24/9/15. Stating he believes 'Fair Value' on this company is around 250.
Re share price, lets hope so. Thanks again for some excellent information and valued opinion. Always enjoy reading your posts.
A much better day, just need a few more days (or weeks) like this, then we will be in much better position after all the recent turmoil. Are the value and bargain hunters finally seeing the merit of this company.
Well howdy CHEQUEMATE, sorry I hadn't noticed your comment before, but as you say this is a very very quiet board, even I only check it once a month, so was quite surprised to see your name. I've been here nearly 2 years, and pretty much watched it do nothing for most of it, but that is just how we like them !!!. The last 3 months have been very positive, hope you got in before the last jump. In saying that though this has risen pretty rapidly recently and I would imagine a bit of a pullback before rising again. Obviously would be even happier if it continued to rise, as I do see this as a takeover target at some point in the future. But we have to be realistic.
Would be nice to hear some positive news coming from Xchanging. Surprised at the lack of reaction to the share price considering there was a 25% drop to the news of Ken Lever leaving. I assume the market is still digesting the news, just hope what is known about the new guy is good news for the future.
Great results from ALU, we should finally have some good movement in this share now
I agree guys, much better to have the money in the bank, so I also sold this morning. Not much difference from the share price to the offer price, and would rather not have to wait a few months before I get it, also we were very unlikely to get any kind of counter offer to the 40p. I think they let this go on the cheap, cant complain as I got in at 22p and have been here for three years. GL
Completely agree with it being a strong hold, also agree on the refurbishments, shame they can't start some of the refurbishments this year and then they could spread costs over two financial years rather than just one, unless they are expecting more beds to become available next year to balance it out.
Had been hoping for a slightly better bounce back than this, still think it was heavily oversold
This obviously explains some of the huge amount of buys from yesterday, still cant understand why the share price did not increase. Sentiment certainly is holding this back.
Have you seen the difference between buy/sells today, over 9.9 million buys against 525 thousand sells, at 3.26 there where over 7.8 million shares bought, some very chunky buys indeed. So i'm now getting the feeling today's negativity was done for a reason, which i'm sure we will find out over the coming days. Just can't believe there was no change in share price. Anyone any thoughts and what's been happening ????
