Yes something similar for me, i'm in at about 1.20 and have watched rise to 1.90 (was waiting to sell at 2.00 sound familiar). I also topped with a 5k buy this morning and a couple of spread bets. But it should with time and patience and of course a new CEO improve quite a lot. So remember a lot of deep breaths and patience and we should be okay, unfortunately today it just looks like a bomb site !!!!
pheonixchi I think a lot of people will have lost a lot of money, including ourselves !!!!!. Just got to hope for a decent bounce back over the next couple of days
I'm sure Unwin will be thinking long term, but they badly need to find someone who the 'City' like, to try and bring some much needed sentiment to this company. But how much of a rush will they be in to find a successor which may also govern how long it will for this share price to bounce back. I do know one thing though and that is the share price is now very cheap, lets hope we see others thinking the same !
Don't think the board have ever considered shareholders, certainly not for the last 18 months/2 years. And its not the first time they have been poor in timing news, press a new press/media officer is needed
The sell off this morning seems to have been overdone, not sure if they're pricing at Ken Lever leaving or under performing results, but if results are poor then why price so much in on Ken, doesn't make sense
Thanks ANDY
Has anybody received their allotted shares yet from the July subscription
Yes its a very very quiet board, I think with the lack of movement over the last year, its kept many an investor away. But dividend is reasonable. With disposal there should be an increase in revenues and net profit and then hopefully an increase of share price which like you say should get us some more interest and a steady increase in buys. How far the share price will go, I have no idea, lets just hope now that the company is leaner that there is a predator around the corner.
Hopefully todays 5% rise might explain something for you, and long may these kind of rises continue. I was in the same boat as you, in that I have been very close to selling recently, as the share price has been very slowly dropping back. Just hope now we may get some momentum to carry this share upwards.
Not to spoil the party but I think the dividend is 0.25p not 25p. Its still better than nothing and at least it is paying a dividend. Better than the majority of Biotech firms. But where people will get the money from this share is from the growth this company will have over the next five years.
I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but the British Bulls have it as a buy because the last candlestick pattern is a Bullish Harami Cross. That means there could be people buying who haven't a clue what's happening to this share and why buy when the spread is so wide. Yesterday the share price would have to go up a 100% before you break even, madness. https://www.britishbulls.com/SignalPage.aspx?lang=en&Ticker=OPE.L
Zotefoams has had a great run recently and certainly for the last two months, don't know how high this will continue to go but at some point this will have to pullback and probably in the very near future. This has been a very good share for me.
Looks like Jim must have heard me !!!!!!!!!!, please please keep it up
I know the feeling, personally I believe JM has taken his eye off the ball, particularly when you look at the fiasco at Plethora and its subsequent share price drop, lots of things going at Summit, with its listing on NASDAQ but after a good start share price wise , its dropped back to where it was. Also with here, there was quite a few of us who could not take advantage of the Tender Offer, I know that would not have been Jim's fault, but that still doesn't make me feel any better. Come on Jim time to focus, get this share price moving !!!!
Unfortunately, I'm sure the company will buy up all available share's (now they're cheap enough b$%&£*!'s) to ensure they have 90%, once they achieve this, they can compulsory purchase the remaining 10%
Simply, Yes
It will be tricky for some to sell, just tried some dummy sells on TD and the most shares they will buy are 550,000. I'm sure other brokers may be a bit more helpful.
Sells have overtaken buys now, it is strange, unless its Capita buying up all the shares on Ashok's behalf
Its a good idea to tell the press, but would they be interested, the company is not being closed down and nobody are losing their jobs. Their is just a few thousand small private investors who will lose quite a bit of money. If you have got any contacts in the press world, go for it.
Not sure it would be worth me going as to be honest I wouldn't know what questions to put to them, I would be blinded by anger and probably just start throwing chairs at them instead, as unfortunately the small people never win. Could we stop them getting to 90%, I don't know. A lot of people when they see the letter through there broker will just sell up.
