I have just contacted HSBC 03456 080848 and spoken to a nice girl called Amanda. I told her i wished to have a proxy vote for the two meetings and I wanted to vote NO in each. Apparently HSBC are not contacting shareholders regarding the vote, you have to contact them. It only took two minutes. Apparently HSBC will register votes of individuals with the registrar in a block i.e. there will be no specific names attached to the votes.

I hold 1,030,000 shares and I say cough up Anglo you thieving ****s

Scratch_ Golfer: You can discount the third option, why mention it in the first place if you wanted to keep it quiet. Most prospects will probably come to nought. I'd keep my powder rather than have to admit to a dead end, if it happens to pay off then you have great news to release. The second option, fits the third. Why would any self respecting manufacturer commit to any financial deal based on a model demonstration with a flaky company - build it and they will come - I think is the adage. As for the first, we'll know in time ! This company has always released grand statements but they have never followed up, to me that just indicates there was nothing to follow up.

It's one thing to use your resources improving expensive technology but another to waste it on technology that cannot work. Your strategy seems rather haphazard, best of luck with your investments.

You are going to replace the car alternator with a Stirling engine! Stirling engines weigh a lot, are expensive and not yet efficient enough. Modern alternators are very efficient, relatively light and cheap. Perhaps one day but not now. Stirling engines have potential but they've had that for 200 years and they still haven't made the big breakthrough. It's more than efficiency that counts.

The point is, there is little waste heat with modern domestic boilers, and what little there is has then to be converted to electricity. The Charger has an inefficient boiler (75%) that waste 25% is then inefficiently converted to electricity (15%). If the Charger was 95% efficient then you wouldn't get any viable waste heat. As you say you need waste heat for the process to work the domestic market is not the place. Now cruise ships may be the place to use Stirling technology but also bear in mind one of the benefits of CHP is the ability to save transmission losses of the grid. That doesn't apply to a cruise ship, well maybe to a lot lesser extent. Also big marine engines burn the crudest of crude oil products and the economics are not quite the same.

Carribean2029: i think the Sterling engine replacement for your 20 million domestic GAS boilers will have a lot to do with gas. They will be burning gas unless you have a large estate and access to lots of wood or a source of nuclear power.
