The only upside is that Mellon has a big pile of free equity and some he paid for in LLabs so he has more to personally gain if it gets over the line. Political support we can forget, every Republican will be too scared to open their mouth's.

IMO the core has plenty of dogs. I see companies that need big clients still with no big clients after years trying , others need that individual customers not growing. Although everyone is active on the socials gathering ever more technical awards or airing their green credentials no-one and I mean no one is announcing large contract wins or individual user growth sufficient to come close to break even. You can’t blame the economy, others are doing fine in the same space, just poor choices. The rapid departure of the CEO couldn’t be due to the stellar performance of the investments. IMO more funding to kick the can down the road a bit more coming up or better still take the hit and move on.

The issue is that all big pharma has AI tools and plenty of data to mine, so the value is not seen as so unique. Hence the sacking of thousands of their own scientists and in some cases closing down massive R&D establishments opened only a couple of years ago.
