The are not presenting spud, they are showing a poster in a booth along with hundreds of others during a welcome drinks event, in the hope someone wanders past and stops. Presenting on the stage in a session would be great but unlikely with phase 1 results. Happy to be proved wrong but I often see a disconnect between the announcements drafted by their media team and reality.

If you could come up with an original objective source rather than being spoon fed by the company feeds I would be more impressed Spud. They are hardly going to say anything else.

Bit of both IMO Steph. The fintech sector is pretty crowded and many have quite slick positive social feeds. I don’t quite trust the funding rounds for valuations any more. Really hard to tell, especially with the smaller funds they keep bolting on.

The biggest individual taxpayers in the country own the gambling giants. It would just be robbing Peter to pay Paul to increase gambling tax and they could just as easily take their international operations offshore and really minimise their UK tax bill if they wanted.

They need global food buyIn. There’s plenty of interest but no real capital commitment probably because there is no proof it can be done profitably if they are the ones who have to fund the build. They also need common food standards and supply chain and certainty vested interest groups won’t add hurdles. Europe hasn’t even got going at it. So the players are still reliant on soft government loans and grants, which will get as far as a pilot plant size, nowhere near break even. Only the Australia government and the US Department of Defence on bio security are talking about meaningful funding at 100million plus. There will be niche supply arrangements in the intervening period but unless some bio security issue pushes it to the front it will only serve the purpose of greenwashing, nice but don’t really want to pay for it.

Thanks for the links. It seems for the US they need an ASGE write up from the Texas trial to gain broader exposure. For NICE if they haven’t been scheduled in March 25 as being looked at it will be Dec 26 before they report. Sales are hopeless and I see the UK north west is an open vacancy. They have hired the ex head of Olympus South American marketing recently and it looks like he arranged the well attended Panama session so maybe something will come of that.

The fact that Mellon is buying means no material new news in the short term. Anyone else buying in would need30 million to hit RNS disclosure, possible but IMO unlikely out of the last 10 or so days volume.

The interview was yesterday per the host site. I had sold from 12 down to 11 but will top up now. There is a disclosure window to submit joint accounts and meet other requirements so if true it will not have to wait too long.

I want whatever you are on Spud. Taking off the rose coloured glasses, management is taking every opportunity to put themselves in a position to answer questions from anyone who will listen to their pitch. Take a look at interview with the lead scientist, they are testing approved drugs looking for a new market to sell them (what worked last time), they know what they currently hold has potential value but too early to realise value. I think they will find something eventually but don’t see any quick cash flows in, more likely a payment out hopefully avoiding a lower priced placement.

He can’t buy with inside info, or it’s off to jail. This is just a little confidence builder to offset Blackrock. This means no short term news where ANIC has board representatives, which is everything important.
