I am sure they are working the floor, but if they were knee deep in deals I’m not sure they would take the time out to religiously uptick Dave Allmonds endless posts on orphan drugs, he certainly hasn’t gone to ground. Hardly a day goes by.

Spud the only ones liking these daily posts across the socials are Poolbeg or Hvivo employees, the 3 corporate communications companies they use and maybe you. This was just prep for the conference pitch.

This company has a medium 1/2 the price of Meatly with a hugely higher yield to grow chicken. IMO Meatly is likely to run out of money before they get even close to commercial costings.

Marc I am confident there is a raise and they would need 8 figures for any phase 2, but I also expect a pump before and management need 17p to access their stock grant. I could be wrong but I think Michael Kelly will have been near the front of the queue for any Chinese whisper, not at the end, his proximity is too close. My cost base is 10p, so not too much downside risk and I’m not too worried at this point in time.

Thanks dazzle, I meant niche in terms of market penetration with what they had on offer to date, not so much in terms of how much ANIC had kicked in. But I haven’t paid as much attention to these as the others so my knowledge will come up short.

I think vitro was always niche, whereas eggs, milk products and Solar foods solein as ingredients only have a better chance of success, probably also due to a much shorter fermentation cycle.. Also Tropic as having locked up their IP, under the public radar but being praised by Bayer lead scientists with the first of their gene edited crops and needing no capex for plant look strong. Liberation Labs will be a risk if they cannot secure the funds to complete their build in the next 9 months, pretty good position if they can.

IMO many still in the lab apart from Tropic will run out of money.

Mellon doesn’t need to buy because his service fee is converted to equity. The more it drops, the more he gets.

Thanks Franky I was unaware of the going private plan. Looking at the service agreement with Mellon it was always a bit of heads I win tails you lose, no down side for him. I just see enough upside from here so we can all get a feed in the end, but I’ll take a free carry on the run up just to make sure.

Points taken but precision fermentation is not 1:1 inputs to outputs either, so the 3% is also playing a bit loose with numbers. Currently the capital building I see would not even scratch 5% of that 3%, although it would seem to be targeting milk and eggs, so heading in the right direction. Biomass fermentation doesn’t seem to have the same capital constraints quote more accepted I guess.

19 billion gallons of milk per year in the US so dairy farmers will be safe for a very long time. Let’s see them build a cost effective 10m litre fermentation plant first, you can grow just about anything in the lab now, it proves very little commercially. Gates and Bezos should be funding scale rather than research ,enough has been invented to go with.
