I've rarely been more excited - only because this RNS seems to tick a lot of boxes...lacks ££ detail, agreed, but the fund raise should mean that is less of a concern. It seems to this particular idiot that reneuron looks to be at the forefront of the Exosme technological revolution, its just a shame we're not listed in Nasdaq as I think the stock would have a very good day!

Yes I had a look through the other board...a bunch of very unhappy souls...it won't get done, it cant get done, no assets...oh why is it rallying after the placing, stock will get sold by the arbs....one of my dogs likes to bark at hot air balloons, on the very reason that he is incapable of understanding how they work. These chaps very much remind me of him. Except my spaniel is rather less vitriolic. Anyway, beds made, bets placed, farm out - what 3-6 months? OIL px is a secular uptrend and US driving season hasnt even started. Just need to do all my calculations dividing by 31mm rather than 22mm. Bigger denominator but then I reckon - as ever the optimist - that its almost impossible that Buchan is the only source of oil in JGs portfolio so fully expecting the numerator to go up!

VK - I have sat on watched your comments...I normally don't mind equal and opposite views. I do however object when people like you are able to opine on the individual 'worth' of the directors of the company. do you have any idea how much money these guys have to spend? Do you know what priorities they have in life, schooling, elderly parents... do you know anything? Just take your vitriol away please. By all means tell us - because you are so concerned about our own wealth - that this share is a dud, but please do not presume to know or understand the individual financial position of the board of directors of this company.

Abatt you are a sensible chap - and I think you are right. Patently selling being done here by those trying to get 'access' to the fund raising - I'm sure that will be completed pretty shortly as equally as I'm sure Mr Benitz will have been knocking on more than a few doors to sell the story. I imagine we will get an RNS tomorrow or thursday saying X raised at Y price. It would be most unlikely that Existing shareholders will not be entitled to participate, so to answer your question Tommy 'NO'...this isnt a bidding process for the company just a process on the wild west of aim where rules seem to go out the window and people are allowed to break NDAs and disclose what company's plans are.
I do hope when this is however, the FCA does make a thorough investigation of who the culprit is and in an ideal world, if he has also been found to have shorted or sold stock in receipt of said information, he's fined and or banged up for a a sensible amount of time.
Stock is daftly cheap here but until we know the final fund raising details probably just admired.

Methinks you miss the point Private...the company is not saying it changes profit estimates for this year...which their broker is guiding to AUD$14mm or c £9mm. What the RNS did, and what the company has at last discovered its worth shouting from the rooftops about, is the multiple applications that CPX I-o-T cum super capacitors have...the world is literally their oyster.
And with a market cap of just £40mm, you currently buying shares in a company valued at 5x earnings this year. And 10% of its mkt cap in cash. With potential Ioxus dividend and who knows what from Maxwell to come.
I've said it before, will say it again. Down here at 7-8p, the company is cheap. And the shares should be treated as such. Buy 'em whilst you can, as they don't need refinancing and the newsflow will remain positive.

You raise an interesting point about the ££ impact on CPX ... just had Allenby's report saying 'no change to forecast but further evidence of build up in momentum in orders which are 2x last year'...I'm not sure the market needs to worry about the ££, as we know from CPX's own forecasts that the existing Murata business will make them $14mm this year... its the proof of concept that is needed to show demand is growing that I hope will be the driver of further SP appreciation.

What is also interesting is the fact that the company has actually announced we are in partnership with someone...they've been very coy in my view of shouting from the rooftops when they get lovely little announcements like this. There is no doubt in my mind this little company is at the forefront of a major change in I-o-T and continue to believe exciting times await not just this year but far into the future.

...today's price action, I am quite happy that there wasnt the knee jerk / gut wrenching collapse as investors worry that there is something 'wrong' at the core. I think, as per my previous chat, that the large German shareholder, Obitritia, who i think own 10% and also have a place on the board may well be wanting some evidence of shareholder returns. With Schroders and Paul Griffiths, there is certainly a degree of activism there that - again its just my thought - has asked Olaf to start thinking about how they are going to make a return on their investment!
As per chat below, new broker etc all adds up to increased charm offensive...and as per my last comment re RENALYTIX who's SP continues its rise into the stratosphere driven by NASDAQ investors who knows a dual listing as well as there is no doubt Reneuron's 'assets' will be held in much greater value and esteem over the pond.

Well - one th plus side Reneuron is much further down the line...but if he's to be judged by the SP performance, he's not been lucky! What causes the eyebrows to rise slightly is normally these things end with 'and so and so has been chosen to succeed' etc...here we have Olaf at the top and not much else....might not be a great day for the long-suffering shareholders.
However to mitigate, there has been a cap raise and a couple of new lumpy investors on board who might simply have run out of patience and are flexing their muscles to get things accelerated. Which is how I read it, glass half full....?

Of all the announcements I have been awaiting and looking forward, Michael Hunt's abrupt departure was not one of them. Have to say, this doesn't fill me with an abundance of confidence!

I'm still trying to work out what the bad news is? Can someone tell me? Oh, its irritating if you bought last week at £2.35 or something. But really, in the grand scheme of things, financial independence in the farm out talks makes an abundance of sense to me. And whilst everyone gets all 'woe is me', Brent closing in on $70 is now 300% above last year's lows. Don't need to do the maths again. But 170mm barrels of oil. $30 cost of extraction. And almost zero carbon footprint. Well, I'll buy some...if we mere mortals are ofered.
Just one comp - Wandisco, a UK cliud company...shares fell 15% monday ahead of a (nother) placing...its 3rd such placing in the last 2 years. Shares are 20% higher from monday lows and 15% above the placing price.
Again someone tell me why strengthening the balance sheet is a bad thing?

Hahahahaha - because in case you haven't noticed this company has a mkt cap of c £40mm. So I think - with the best will in the world - it ain't going to get financing for 750mm of your finest ££ at a 12.5% discount.
Give me strength.

T-Man, you still bitter about selling me your shares at - what - 4.3p wasn't it? I do so hope it want you that bought them when I sold a few at 14p (as advertised)...that would have been a sad journey for you....

Dibs - the only advice I can give you on CPX is the following : it has typically been a good stock to buy when no one likes or loves it...and when everyone is shouting from the rooftops that its going all Buzz Lightyear on us (to infinity and beyond) then typically that has been a good time to lighten up.
You also may need some patience...as other holders here will attest, as news flow can be very patchy, at best. But there is plenty of good news around and ignore those who think we need a cap raise...we don't. If you have a couple of spare ££ there are worse bets on a 12-24 month view than this little company at 8p a share. For transparency purposes, i have left an order to buy quite a few at 7.6p having recently on here suggested 8p was too cheap!

...as always patience. So far, the board have done what they said they would, on time and on budget. the market is concerned that a small little OILER can't get into bed with a big balance sheet and deliver the goodies. There will be those who will delight in the SP not rallying indeed falling in some perverse excitement or schadenfreude..., equally there will be those of us for whom, as so often stated, believe the prize lies not today or tomorrow. And let's be honest, if / when farm out happens and this rallies to infinity and beyond, then we won't be slow in showing that news down their throats!
I'm also amazed how news of the cost comes as such a surprise to the denizens of the 'other board'....how on earth was it not going to cost at least $1bn to get the stuff out the ground...we're talking about 170mm barrels! I mean what do u expect? Change out of a 10er? Give me strength :-)

Yes all reads very nicely. The almost zero carbon is hugely impressive and lets hope for the central tie up to other platforms to happen as that will alleviate some further costs. Its not a small project, especially for a company with such a small market cap, but it has huge ambitions and if it pulls it off, we will all be immensely better off. Its come along way from hoping to have 17% of Verbier which may have had 125mm barrels of oil, hasn't it?

Its amazing really that the SP move is so completely disconnected from the upbeat conference call. 4 letters for you to research...LPWA (low power wide area)...as AK described this is the gold seam...in which CPX operates...10mm connections in 2015, 423mm in 2020 and forecast CAGR of 43% to reach 2.5bn by 2025.
Areas in which they are operating : automotive, electronic locks and medical still main mkts. Smartfone tbd.
Not much to report on infringement of IP - we have all the data but CPX will continue to defend aggressively - as it should.
No worries re cash despite some on here talking about equity raise. No need.
Orderbook vs ability to fill - small problems in Malaysia re hiring workers, but Sydney the key and all good with ability to grow out if needed.
Finally the competition - there are none who do all that CPX do.
my view - as per yday, shares cheap here and at 8p very cheap. My advice is to look beyond the end of your nose and look for 2025 not 2021. Whether its 9p or 15p, matters not a jot. This remains a best in class company that is grwoing across its broadening spectrum of products. Enjoy the ride I'm upgrading target from 25p to 50p by end of 2022.

OS lets not have another argument! Is not 3p to 14.5p a 'surge'? or even 1.9p to 10p....CPX shares have done very well....they are now taking a well-earned breather whilst the fly-by-nights who were ramping this to smithereens at 12-14p move on because we havent settled with tesla or .... found the cure for cancer or....there is nothing wrong with today's numbers, equally there isn't anything to hang your hat on to get all excited...you either believe this company is on the cusp, as discussed before, of making REAL MONEY THIS YEAR (I do) or you feel its another maybe / possibilities report. Murata factory has been operating for 3 months. They have more demand than they can fill. They even gave us E-peas. Stock is cheap from here to 8p, and too cheap below that and fair value above 15p until the numbers are proven. But please don't say 'same old' with this stock!

Really/ bit of a worry spending time and money defending patent infringement? Cummon, think...do they stand in the road with a white flag saying, please do come thru and steal our IP? CPX the only company in the world that spends huge amounts of R&D and then lets the opposition steal it for nothing? Not the greatest idea of all time, methinks! I'd be happy if they spend every last cent they had defending the IP to the hilt...without it, they are nothing.
