I have a question - to which I'd like sensible answers, tho abusive works as well! If JOG announces that is has agreed a farm-out with a private equity type twinned with an infrastructure firm to help on the electrification, it obviously becomes overnight considerably more valuable to the broader industry. Does that in turn then bring the company more into play, if it has the farm-out sorted? Would the legal contracts between JOG n the PE firm hold true in the event JOG was then taken over or would the farm-out agreement subsequently fall away. I still think that is in my view the most likely chain of events but wondering if its at all possible?

There’s been some nonsense written on this board over the years but ‘lucky investors’ and ‘never had much luck with the drill bit’ show a complete lack of understanding of what is going on here.

R00ster - you are not alone in being in love with this stock - which I call ‘Once-in-a-blue-moon’…cos that’s how rarely an opportunity like this arises. Trek is our resident expert but he like all have gone quiet as we await some news to take us thru this £1.70-£2.30 area. V confident the sun lit uplands await.

i’m not sure this is a trick question so I will be brief :
1/ More buyers than sellers
2/ The oil n gas price has moved a little
3/ Jog has oodles of the above
4/ Might be able to find a partner to get it out the ground in a carbon neutral fashion and quite profitabily.

As for the future. Yes it will probably go down again but it might not. Crystal ball bit murky.

Hi open (ps I still owe you a £10er!) - I think its absolutely that. Licensee agrees to pay X and has paid - by the look of it - quite a lot less given cashflows looked v tight (and thus why cash raise likely needed?). Its interesting what u say re IP being a pot of gold, time will of course tell if Maxwell pay / are forced to pay and we get back what the courts awarded from Ioxus. I'd maybe suggest the IP is vital for CPX's long term good health and fighting for it ditto...for without it, we have nothing?

Order book +160% is really the highlight - cash shortfall from a licensee has caused cashflow problems thus the cash raise needed. Pursuing Tesla also proving expensive. I think the numbers are pretty decent as we emerge blinking into the post-covid sunlight...

We need a bit of Henry V at Agincourt to revive our spirits! I think I asked this board about 3 months ago what might be the catalyst to improve our fortunes…Not much has turned up except for a couple of v good board appointments. I note volumes were better today but you can’t blame anyone for bailing out now. Like all, been in for years and own a fair few to make a meaningful difference if we strike gold. All I would say is that it doesn’t take long for sentiment to change. One of my oil co’s is up 75% in a fortnight on no news whatsoever…that’ll be just the start here if newsflow improves. This is the same Igas that fell from 35p to 15p in 5 trading sessions earlier this month? I’ve got enough volatility in Jog thanks …

I think we have to assume there will be some sort of infrastructure fund involvement in JOG's future. I know I bang on a bit, but with OIL now at $80/brl and implied cost of getting the stuff out the ground at c $30, its hard to see Mr Benitz not having an extremely strong hand in any negotiations. Good to see the current drift up, but still would prefer this back at £2.50 before we announce a deal....

I have often made the mistake that we refer to JOG as an oil co...when of course its name is Jersey Oil n Gas. The relevance of this probably should not be understated given what's happening to Gas prices. To which point, the normalised spread between oil and gas should have oil prices at c $150/brl if it was going to keep its normal correlation to gas prices. Good to see OIL breaking 76 today - still think its only starting on its journey.

Abatt - question for you. This is a project that the CEO and board have spent many hours developing. It may well be that it’s their one chance of greatness. If they truly believe the numbers - barrels there / future exploration/ infrastructure cum electrification do they :
Sell the company for £2.50 and run
Sell a bit of the company for £2.50 and run the future risks
Or
Look for a long term trade that rewards them and their shareholders who have taken no little risk.
Nothing would irritate me more than a £3 bid and all that optionality gone. Go large AB and look for greatness! £10 or nothing!

I think the problem with all this research is you can play with the numbers all you like - the average px of oil being the main variable but also in a farmout how much of an interest will JOG continue to hold. I am increasingly of the view that OIL will trade substantially higher than where we are now - maybe above $100/brl given the mess all major govts have made to the O&G business with their green agenda. With inflation well set (dont give me this transient nonsense!) and exploration / new drilling etc declining sharply due to ESG, its hard to see how OIL can avoid doing what Gas has just done (and will continue to do). Ask Finncap what their model says is if OIL averages $100? So this research is all rather irrelevant I fear. Except for telling a good story.

All reads v nicely! plenty of cash increased resource estimate and funding potential from industry and or infrastructure…getting a little exciting now!

What is good to see is it has gone up on much more volume than it went down. Which I take as a positive sign. 50% rise in a week is a start and good recovery. But I think the majority on this board would like to see it rest above £3 before we can start to breathe a little. And for that we'll need some good news!

I would normally suggest that JOG is a closed ship, but the disatsrous fund raise at £1.60 that should have been done north of £2 suggests there is a potential leak. However, there is little getting away from the fact that impatient private investors, bored of a lack of news, have bailed and left the company looking severely mispriced as discussed often here. I've not got the terms of the Ithaca deal in terms of value / barrel but given JOG is valued at the square root of bu55er all, then a little local interest will cause this 20% uptick. Nice and glad I raided the piggy bank last week. I'd still like the SP to be north of £2 before an announcement tho so can todays new buyers keep buying please!

It is precisely because of Greta and her ilk that we are now experiencing the huge problems in production. Opec have just announced that the World's appetite for crude is +260kbarrels/day higher than they expected just last month and is expected to top 100mm barrel/day next, or 15% higher than expected and back to pre-pandemic highs. Note - despite OPEC increasing production much of the world can't (as has been my argument). If you tell the majors they are naughty school boys then they stop planning for the future. So much of the dependence goes to other forms of energy - anyone seen coal prices??
JOG has alot of very valuable stuff - delays now just make the economics that much more interesting as the oil price will rise further - maybe much further back to north of $100/barrel IMHO. And they are going to be a zero carbon producer. I have all the time in the world to let this one run. One day the mkt will start to understand the numbers. Imagine having $70/barrel profit....Tommy, you'd be able to buy Wentworth :-)!

mmmm - not sure there is a concerted seller about. Bought a few this am but filled in 1/3 of the order at 1.07. Spoken to a few other like minded souls who might get the Dyson out as well. Could do with a little news to assist a decent recovery…
One off field thought : if Jog is planning to be the centre of an electricalisation of the CNS then might we have a few infrastructure funds interested? And might Jog be able to charge a stipend ? Just idle thoughts…

The world falls in! Lots of angst and pain as the SP falls daily. And it’s all suddenly the fault of the management? I think Greta et al are probably to where fingers should be pointed. Read some research yday - as you know i remain v strongly of view oil mkt in deficit next year…
August 2021 largest demand for Gasoline in Europe for 10yrs. Inventories at 5yr lows. Gas prices up 5 fold in U.K. (look at your bills!). We cannot generate enough power without resource to coal / nuclear or indeed more oil n gas and yet the world is demanding a green revolution…madness!
JOG will be fine. It’s leaders are neither dishonest nor idle but steering this project in an ESG blighted universe is almost impossible. Hold firm and do the maths using oil at $80/barrel …which i think is low for where it’s going.

That’s easy - there is no they! Just plenty of small investors with no patience bailing out. No selling and only buying = higher SP. No selling is created when the company is in a financial position when even the patience-less can see more upside than downside.
We are not there yet. Simples.
