Dan, I really don't know why. I can see that the sp in NY could be higher if there is no stamp duty to pay, but, over a year ago, the price in NY used to be a bit lower so that does not hold water. It could be how dividends are taxed, but that would be more apparent nearer the ex-div dates, not such a regular difference over quite a few months.
As I said before, it would be nice if somebody who knew something about investing visited this message board from time to time.
If I were that bothered, I would look at a some other shares that are listed in the US and the UK.
