The truth is, they don't actually know whether they will need any funds. If they are in talks to farm-out the licences, then this could all be wrapped up before the end of the year. They say it's 'likely' they will need funds, but it's not certain. Any funds will be a small dilution.

Here's an example of UKEF funding going to Petrobras in Brazil to secure UK contracts for offshore drilling in 2015. Basically UKEF provides a line of credit to worlwide projects and companies that will employ UK companies on the project.

Market-Dealer. Rockhoppers share price has responded well today to the news. The UK government are going to have to act if they want to secure energy. UKEF will be back on the table for oil and gas projects. Oil companies will be asking for it. No reason why BOR or RKH should be left out, particularly as they already have a discovery. UKEF would be prioritised towards viable projects with an actual discovery so finance can be repaid back from production. BOR and RKH are already in that position, so they have a massive head start in solving the UK's energy security.

The UK government announces it is issuing over 100 exploration licences in the North Sea to secure it's energy. The thing is, it will take 5 years to find any oil and gas, if it's even there, and it won't secure the energy which is needed now. The pressure is on for the UK to find new energy sources. The Falklands can secure the UK's energy for many years to come.

With oil at $100, two wells pumping 25,000 barrels, gives a yearly revenue of $800-900m. At that rate, $500m CAPEX gets paid back in no time. Even OPEX of $1m per day is still going to see $500m profit per annum, and just from two wells.

Just to say, there is a difference between a placing which goes out to bucket shops at the lowest price or to existing large shareholders who forward sell their shares knowing they are receiving cheap placing shares, compared to a subscription and open offer, which is the type of fundraise where the Board subscribe for shares such as Harry Dobson did in the last funding, combined with an open offer to existing shareholders on the basis of 1 share for every X amount of holding. A subscription and open offer is far better than a general placing. With a placing, you are at the mercy of the placees setting the price, and it's always at a huge discount.

MCap is just £19m. In discussions with multiple partners. Oil price is increasing. BOR sitting on a huge asset that is in much demand. It's gonna happen.

A surging oil price at a time when BOR is in talks with potential partners bodes well and may encourage the large buying we have seen recently. One things for sure, we haven't seen any large selling. If the large buyers are nudging 3% then they may want to time the crossing of the threshold particularly if they have an ear on the progress of talks.

Well, we know they are talking to potential partners about a farm-out. so a deal can happen anytime. As for the raise of cash. this is for G&A and will be minimal. It doesn't require business financiers. The last raise was subscribed for by Harry Dobson the chairman. He is a billionaire, so 500k is nothing to him. Shareholders will pick up the rest in what will be limited available shares. I don't expect any cash raise until Q1 next year. The licence extension by the FIG is standard procedure and was achieved at the beginning of this year before any cash raise. Like I say, I expect a farm-out deal will have been completed by the end of this year, or early 2023.
