MM's will love to pick up shares cheap from sellers if they can, hence the large spread in bid/offer.

hebrberb, Volume is low atm, so any technical upturn is down to movement in MM's bid/offer price. It does look like it's bottomed but until more trades appear and volume increases, it's difficult to say. No doubt MM's have the inside info and can move the stock before news, which leads me to think they are anticipating good news. They won't want to be caught short, selling shares cheap if a deal is about to land.

Seems like the sp is strengthening. Going positive on the charts.

Can't believe this is so low, £17m mcap... When the report comes out for the early production figures, the $$$ revenue numbers we are talking about are huge. Make the Capex and Opex seem insignificant.

The Role
You will run a team in providing effective and efficient regulation of all offshore hydrocarbons and onshore minerals activity, as well as ensuring the effective working of the Government in achieving corporate objectives and projects.

The Person:
Substantial recent background in an area relevant to the exploration and extraction of hydrocarbons and onshore minerals.
Have at least 10 or more years of operational, front line, management experience in a multi-service organisation, including management of significant budget and staff numbers.
Be well educated to equivalent of first-degree level.
Experience of policy development at Board or equivalent level.
Good knowledge of the full range of senior management challenges including budgets, performance management, people management, project management, policy development and business and strategic planning.
Strong negotiating skills applicable to senior commercial levels.
Able to initiate and drive corporate projects through winning sufficient consensus and then ensuring delivery through focus on time-scales, budget and outcomes.
Ability to think laterally and creatively to generate innovative but realistic solutions.
The Package
Fixed Term Contract, up to 4 years.

For SCIR to receive any further money from ARA and get the full 16m, CH-1 needs to be drilled and find gas. Therefore SCIR need CH-1 drilled asap.

Whilst seismic operations continue, APT has further advanced the well planning for the CH-1 well with all long lead items contracts now executed. APT reports a target spud date for the CH-1 well in November 2022

Contracts for LLI's were executed in April as announced. This would include a rig as it is a LLI.

Darwin is a continuous reservoir 68m thick with liquid samples recovered and 3D seismic confirming the extent of the structure and recoverable volumes. Gas does not need to be flared because the gas is a liquid at surface and can be produced along with the condensate. The liquid gas produced is LPG. There is dry gas which is LNG, which will be injected back into the reservoir to maximise recovery of the condensate and LPG. So there is no need for gas flaring. Apart from maximising recoverability, the injection of the dry gas means Darwin a low carbon foot print project due to no flaring. As for deepwater, this is not a problem. Costs are higher, about $50m per well, but this is offset by the fact that the wells have a high production rate over 10,000 bopd and therefore less wells are needed to be drilled. Just two wells can produce 25,000-30,000 barrels per day.

Silverfoil, Yes it's likely Sea Lion will get investment and soon. Global demand and shrinking production means untapped fields like Sea Lion and Darwin with huge volumes of oil and gas are prime targets for investment. It's obvious it will happen, it just takes time, nearer now than ever. Everyone knows it, and so it seems like we have some on here posting to talk the stock down in the hope of getting in lower. Always a good sign, imo.

In separate - and far more provocative -comments made earlier in the day during a JPMorgan investor seminar where he led a fireside chat moderated by JPMorgan's Gergana Thiel, Dimon made some extremely outspoken comments which, however, you won't hear on the mainstream media, telling a small group of listeners that was closed to the press that the "President of the United States needs to stand up and say we may not meet our 2050 climate objectives because this is a ****ing war”.

He also said “time to stop going hat in hand to Venezuela and Saudi and start pumping more oil & gas in the USA”

Echoing what he has said before, Jamie said this is the way the USA maintains its standing, is by pumping more oil and gas and using energy security to ensure Western unity.

And he did say when it comes to ESG “investors don’t give a ****” warning not to "cede governance to do-gooder kids on a committee”.

There aren't any other oil projects like Darwin with the production and payback that oil companies can buy into.

For CH-1 to be drilled in November they will use the existing drill location. I would think they are already preparing the location for Well 4 on the seismic and on the ground so that after CH-1 is drilled the rig can move onto Well 4. They will then drill Well 5, Well 6, Well 7, and Well 8 to reach a minimum 140MMcft per day production in 2024.

The board can deliver. The question has always been if potential partners are wanting to a deal and the economics being right. It's only until now that all the factors have come together. Expect there will be more than one interested partner wanting in.

I don't think oil companies are going to be particularly keen on exploring in the North Sea. The windfall tax cripples investment and O&G companies will be paying over 60% in tax on any oil revenues, therefore payback is low. In comparison, Darwin already discovered 462m barrels recoverable, no exploration costs to write off, lower tax regime 26% corporate and 9% royalty, quick payback and low carbon footprint , low breakeven $35 a barrel, high production rates. All equates to lower risk and high yield with plenty of running room for large prospects in a under explored proven oil and gas basin. A more attractive proposition.
