JG if there is nothing for the BOD to tell us that is that. We have no reason to think that the company is in trouble & just because a SP is low doesn't necessarily mean that either. How can MKS be worth twice now what they were 6 months ago? Just SP being played with that's all!

I think in the end you have to ask: if there is a problem? well. How bad can things be to justify this battered SP? Earnings warning? well possibly but they can recover from that & i think unlikely. Cash call? no chance IMO after divi reinstated. Debt? well, this is under control as far as i can see & they're bringing down gearing. Inflation/interest rates? These are a global issue which will recede in time. NEX are fully hedged against interest rate rises & fuel spike for the foreseeable. My conclusion is this is shorting games & no more as far as i can see at least!

I agree Hindy. The drop here is definitely getting to the bounce stage. I was going to add on Friday but held back. Thinking about this a bit more i will be adding next week on further weakness. The reversal has to be soon here. This has been way overdone now!

It's all a bit strange. I remember the truss /kwasi saga. Melrose went to 95p, MKS 91p, IAG 90p. NEX was quite solid during that drop. All odd stuff but shows that decent companies just get hammered down for nowt!

JG this will be fine certainly in the longer term anyway. I've got a fair bit of cash still to stick into shares & was tempted to take a pretty serious further chunk of these yesterday. I've held back for now as i really need to diversify a bit. I'm loaded to the eyeballs here already but i'm still convinced this will be my pension pot in years to come. I do think that in a few weeks/months we'll all be moaning why we didn't get more sub 110. Time will tell i suppose!

KG, yes i know everyone taking time out from the AIM garbage pile spouting stupidity. Quite amusing sometimes & usually a sign that the endless drop is near an end. The SP is really quite bizarre here. I don't think i've ever seen such SP behaviour without some really grim news associated with it!

A £3.75m market capitalisation doesn't seem to be attracting many buyers for ORCP so i guess you won't be able to sell there & buy into a company that actually is worth something!

3m shares volume today. Less than 0.5% of total shares in issue. Ridiculous !

The numbers in the FY report looked okay to me bar the ALSA impairment cost. This is a transport business & there's been a pandemic. I don't expect overnight miracles here but the SP performance is bizarre in anyone's book!

I can't see why there would be a profit warning. If there is so be it. Doesn't justify a lower than depths of covid SP though. Comparisons with Debenhams, Carillion..... Oh come on!!!

Mulder, A battered SP in itself doesn't make a company a t/o target. Most battered down shares however have a reason for their battering (e.g profit warning etc) NEX has had none of these announcements.All recent RNSs have indicated the company is doing perfectly fine & have reinstated a divi after 3 years without one! Either we have management lying to their shareholders or shortsellers playing their silly games here!

Well, none of really know the true reason for this drop but it will come out in the end. What i can safely say is selling at these levels is utter madness. You should only sell at a loss if there is a clear reason for doing so! Using a few of my recent investments as examples WG, i held a big load of them at average of about 129. It went down as far as a £1 then obviously a t/o bid. Sme with THG held them from 70p for months watched it drop to 30p. Same with BOO held them @45p. dropped to30p. All these share come back in the end. NEX will recover. The index shares always do!

The shorts know something??? yes, they know they have the financial clout to drive the price continuously down while building up a large holding for themselves which will cover their loaned shorts & make them a handsome profit when they cover & go long on the cheaply accumulated shares. All a game which has happened on loads of shares before!

QD, i'm not at all concerned. Probably would be if i'd jumped into Avidity though after selling this!

Asiddall, i agree some peeps think that because a share drops low it can only go up which is nonsense. That is why this is all about patience. I'm personally underwater in this one for quite a lot of cash but not concerned in the slightest. I have a multi year outlook on stocks like this & very confident this will double, triple or more from these levels over the future years!

The total debt now is lower than it has been since 2018. Too much Motley Fool garbage being spouted here!

This share price dunk is just what the doctor ordered here. Weed out the fragile hands into secure holders!

If you genuinely thought a cash call was needed you would sell your shares if you hold. So sell or stop the scaremongering!

Waiting for more full nappies to explode to buy this even cheaper!
