Poker, i think this is Johnny 2 Toes from PFC reincarnated!

If Mr ASOS buys a £5m house & Mr NEX buys the house next door also for £5m with the same mortgage. Mr NEX happily pays his mortgage each month with no problems & as the years pass due to his increased income he can afford to add extensions & things to the house to increase it's value. The bank is happy & wants to lend Mr NEX more money than he wants to buy a nice car as well because they view him as a safe investment grade who will not default. Mr ASOS on the contrary managed to get his mortgage by lying to the bank about how his business was doing. As the business model is failing he can't pay the mortgage so has to go to expensive finance companies to pay the monthly costs. Eventually he can't keep up with the repayments on the high interest costs so the original lender repossesses the house & Mr ASOS is homeless! Mr NEX by this time has decided to upgrade to a £ 20m country pile & buy a few new cars & give lots of money to the investors who supported his company. The end!

When you bought ASOS you really knew what you were getting into!! £7 what a bargain! Terry MC who chooses to debut post on almost every share where the price has dropped a bit with his eternal wisdom! Where was he when this share was £3? because the debt was much the same then. Another clown joins the circus. Why are you all hear one may ask. Well probably to try & scare a few inexperienced novices to sell shares for peanuts. There are many old hands on this share who've seen all this BS before. If it's so bad just go & invest more in the crock of nonsense ASOS. That is a company which is worth nothing. Try their website. Rubbish. Nothing in stock. Total garbage!

QD, i think on the contrary. If you've sold out 90% of your holdings here i think you are having second thoughts & regrets. Time will tell. I have no concerns with this investment!

Manz, you claim to hold this share but you think it is only worth 60p. The savvy investor in that situation would be selling their entire holding in the morning @108 to conserve their cash regardless of their paper loss. You will just be doubling your woes by remaining as a holder. Sell tomorrow & buy back at 60p or buy a share which you have more belief in. GL with your alternative investment choice!

They issued @120m new shares in 2020 @220p placing price. A 20% dilution. My question was where 75% came from as per your statement?

QD, where did you get the '75% more shares in issue' from. I'm only aware of a 20%dilution from a placing during Covid??

Everyone wishes they had bought into a share when they see the horse has subsequently bolted the stable. It is too late then. The time to buy is when sentiment is poor & a share is unloved!

Noggers, the target to justify the divi payment was gearing reduced below 3. That target was achieved. The Beano & Dandy can say otherwise if they like but that is the company official line on it

QD, i'm not sure what balance sheet your reading. As far as i can see if you do a quick comparison to now & 2018, there is £1.6bn intangibles vs £1.8bn. Tangibles there are £1.5bn vs £1.3 bn. SP in 2018 was £ 4. Now it's nearly £1. Make up your mind on those numbers!

Manz, your comment shows complete naivete & a mindset clearly unsuited to investing! Every LSE board is 100% hearsay. These are opinion boards that is all. The only facts we have to go by are the official RNS releases from the company. These have all been largely positive recently IMO. This share doesn't give me sleepless nights. A well researched investment never should. The SP performance here has of course been disappointing but sentiment will change. It always does at some stage. Noone ever knows where the bottom price is. We may be there now.It may go lower. We just don't know! If you think this is dropping to 60p, why are you even interested in it at all then? Maybe best to look at other investments or putting your money in a high interest building society account! GL

In October Nex was 170+; MKS was 91p. You've been around a while. The markets are fickle. This will change you know that!
