QD, No chance. I won't be selling a bean here for a long time. My comment about value trap has probably been a bit misinterpreted. I still see this as probably the best opportunity around at these prices. The opportunity cost of holding stock has for me at least been very expensive. It is becoming tedious & i'm only too aware that when the ennui sets in a lot of short termers may just bail out possibly further suppressing the price. I won't sell until at least £2.50 unless another opportunity arose which looked tempting. Now there's a divi here too i've kind of been juggling my holdings a bit to get as many of these ISA'd as possible!

yes very true. Lost count of the amount of times i've thought i've caught the bottom on a share & down it goes again. I'm a lot more cautious now though. My first tranches i always keep quite small. I could be in profit here by end of today!

A relief to be away from the lows tbh. Psychologically you start to think you've made a bad investment & the drops will never cease. Hopefully a trend reversal but a bit too soon to tell!

Personally i prefer buybacks to dividends. In my experience they tend to obviously push up the SP more & i think is probably a better way to invest the cash. Many investors love the dividend as they see tangible cash in their bank account & usually forget about the drop on ex div day especially if the SP subsequently. I remember having a debate about this on the Persimmon board when it started it's tank down from £20+. Honestly people on there were saying how great the £2.50 divi was but didn't seem to understand their capital had dropped by over £3 in capital value at the time (& a lot more since!). It's a psychological thing i suppose. From a NEX angle, they've always been a divi payer & it's been in most results RNSs since they stopped the divi due to Covid that they planned to reinstate it. I'm happy to get a nice chunk of cash in a few weeks but would be a lot happier to see the SP rerate quite frankly. The SP here has me totally bamboozled really but hoping we'll see some greenery this week!

haha. sod's law. I've missed out on £50k profits flogging Wood & THG all to put into this. Mad nonsense but i've kinda learnt not to dwell too much on it all. It's the name of the game here. I'm confident this one will come back big before too long!

What i find most annoying is looking around at other stuff which i probably would have been buying if this hadn't gone so low. DOCS & DLG which i just looked in on again today & both are way back up again. Crazy stuff!

122, well that's the best close price since this went ex divi. Hopefully that 115 close on 18th was the bottom here!

KG, i'm as frustrated as anyone about the SP but we can't expect management to announce contract wins etc if they haven't been finalised! My point i suppose is i haven't heard any negatives in any of their updates. Yes there are risks & the current climate is not the best but company specific they seem to be on track & doing the right & prudent things. As i've seen before sometimes company SPs become completely detached from reality & always come back in the end. Unless there are some skeletons in the cupboard that have been held back i really can't see NEX being any different!

Investors were calling for Bernard Looney's head on a platter when the SP was sub £ 2. He's the Messiah now!. This company does what they do & do it very well. That's all we should really be bothered about.

well, i personally don't know what they could do better. I can see no difference in this company from when the SP was 334 in 2021 to today where it is 1/3 of that price!

Wood is different gravy IMO. Management there were useless. I had a large holding there but the RNSs were always poor & negative. NEX is a far better managed business. Obviously we all want a higher SP. Noone more than me! but i can't complain about how this business is being run. I think they are doing all the right things!

No way larger shareholders would entertain silly offers. I mentioned Cosmen. I think he's one of the biggest holders still. Interesting to know his take on the low SP!

Wood was bumbling in the 140s when the bid dropped so yea you're not going to get £3 bids or anything like that coming in! £1.60 for NEX. Ridiculous. PE just buy & sell it off in pieces & get 400% return. Long term shareholders shafted up the craw!

CVC & Cosmen family tried to take this over back in 2009. £765m i think was the offer then!
