If BOO wish to improve their image with Institutional holders then they need to appoint an Independent Chairman fairly quickly as concerns over corporate governance continue to circulate.

Interesting assertion that ‘ its nothing to do with Boohoo “ .Sub contracting within the clothing industry is fairly normal. Its a question of whether a Company specifically excludes such activities without expressed written permission. If they don’t and thus potentially allow such activities, their position becomes slightly more awkward !

It will be just as telling if they don’t buy, and in significant quantity ! They need to employ every weapon
to stop the rot.

This has taken quite a hit in a rising Market today. If the Dow gets sold into towards close and London takes its lead tomorrow then Boo could find itself on the wrong side of sentiment again.

Channel Four ran a programme in 2017 on the Leicester clothing trade which highlighted Boohoo and low wages , to which the Company responded by basically saying they had a vigorous audit programme to eradicate such practises. Suspect C4 will be all over this again soon as it would seem those were hollow words ! Only comfort here is the tabloid papers will remain fairly quiet given the Ad . revenue they enjoy from the Company !

This could well turn out to be the “Rayner” moment for the Company. Problem is few will accept their ignorance of the situation as they will know full well the complete breakdown of Garment costings including labour., as this is a very polished operation. If on the other hand, they are able to issue a full report ( which really needs to be undertaken by an Independant source ) that shows genuine unknown errors then they may escape the all important ‘reputational damage’ . In a way this couldn’t have happened at a worse time for them.

This is not about trying to make money....its about doing the right thing. Few would wish to be associated with a Company if it’s shown they were knowingly turning a blind eye to modern slavery. The jury’s now out but will return a verdict pretty quickly if they aren’t seen to act in a meaningful way.

I wish Tulloch & family well. Ms Blanc is a worry. Yes been around various Insurers so knows the Industry but her history is one of jumping around and unaware of what lasting legacy to those her fingers have touched so far. Lets hope her presence here amounts to more than a changing Name Plate.

Not forgetting Goldman’s with a price target of 2080p just over 12 months ago......now revised to 23p !! Of course these Institutions are there to make money on the back of other investors so what you will never learn is what their Shorting strategy is ! . Not invested here but what a tough Company to try and price correctly.....you’re a brave lot , good luck !

EC....with a Balance Sheet like theirs they shouldn’t be thinking of buying even office furniture, let alone an Oil Company .And why they list on Nasdaq & not Nyse is anyone’s quess , apart from the fact it’s much cheaper.

Cash......it won’t be the Covenants that hole PMO ( they would not have obtained extensions already if the financial road map laid out to all, looked to be heading for Beachy Head ! ) it’s the POO, and that in the medium term going into 2021, looks positive.

Good to see they have dropped the 25% interest in Tolmount, originally costed at $191m......Dana won’t be happy though !

Pre fund raise the Company needed to issue progress reports to support the SP. That’s now achieved. Only expect confirmatory news from now on, and that may still take some time. Unfortunately this may shake more out of the stock but for LTH we can wait.

Unfortunately it’s just a taste of the ‘new world’ with retail the first to witness destruction, its just happening quicker than most expected.

From today’s reaction it would seem that sentiment towards PFD has certainly changed, and for good reason. Can see this steadily climbing from now on, with the usual bumps en route. GLA.

We now have a good number of positives that will help drive momentum here. Would be disappointed & surprised if the wider Market isn’t supportive.

We know already that the results will be at the top end of market expectations, as stated in the April update, hence the recent SP strength. Question is can they still surprise to the upside....let’s hope so, otherwise drift will likely set in.
