Bit higher than previous years but it was always going to be after the recent increases. It's calculated by putting a 20% discount on the vwap (average price in laymen's terms) over the last 20 trading days, or something to that effect.

At worst you just get your savings back after three or five years, which is always a useful little aside, but not sure this will be one to make mega bucks on like a few in years gone by. As ever just my opinion.

I still feel that the timing of the placing was so because contract talks with an OEM had reached the 'show me the money' stage, maybe even quicker than ENET had anticipated and ENET needed to show it had capability to meet the requirements of whatever contract is being discussed.

I totally understand that ENET do not produce full pieces of kit, only a component or components for them. It's then down to the OEM to produce a full working system. But ENET will still need capital on hand to expand their operation if that is what is needed.

It's a good board, with good discussion and while not everyone agrees on everything, which is healthy, it's all debated in a proper fashion. Welcome aboard.

I still believe the move to not pay off the entire pension deficit was a strategic one, to fend off any potential bidders. Then use profits on an ongoing basis to maintain/slowly pay it off.

Ken Murphy came out and denied that the buyback was a move to defend against a takeover attempt but I still feel it's at the back of their minds with what has happened to two of their major competitors in the last twelve months.

I will take this opportunity to say that while I have stated on here before that I have worked for TSCO for many years, I work nowhere near anyone who will be making those kinds of decisions and what is said above is purely my opinion. Just for clarity's sake.

I would say in terms of the SFO case all those involved are long gone out of the business. TSCO took its medicine several years ago and is in a much better place now. In terms of cheap borrowing, if it's on offer, you're gonna take it.

In terms for forecasts I feel that ENET's MO is 'underpromise, overdeliver', which may be frustrating short term but will lead to longer term riches rather than the flash in the pan with a lot of style but no substance that a lot of it's AIM counterparts tend to have.

Sold myself at 313, likewise a bit gutted to miss the rest of this rise but it feels a little frothy at the minute. Likewise will buy back in as and if it falls suitably. Currently lumped into BATS in the interim.

On a more serious note that probably explains the sudden surge for BP.. I jumped the gun a little on this one.

Will have to see if it revisits the price I'd want to rebuy at.

Sid, yes, some was paid into the pension fund but the overwhelming majority went into the SD with a bit of pocket change left to invest in the business . The more I think about that, the more it almost makes me wonder if that was intentional to deter any potential suitors.

Been an interesting week for the SP, today's been as flat as the Lincolnshire Fens for activity though.

Same here, sold out perhaps a little prematurely earlier this week at 313, bunged my cash in BATS for now to grab the divi there that's due next week. Will be back in at 285 or around if it dips again.
