Saw that myself, a bit of good publicity if nothing else. It's clearly attracting attention at high levels which can only be good the RR and shareholders.

Thanks for the info Millcottage, however I meant more around TSCO staff as a bloc of shareholders combined. I gather that it would be near impossible to get an accurate figure as they are held in individual, private accounts.

Agreed, they have a diverse portfolio of projects aside from aviation. The SMR is the one that interests me greatly.

As an aside I'd be interested to know what proportion of the company is owned by staff outside of the PDMR list, there's a lot of us and I know of people with quite substantial holdings, from a PI perspective at least.

Agreed leas, not a 'chase the rainbow' growth share that will randomly multibag in the space of days, which seems to be the MO of a lot of private investors, but it is a steady earner that is also steadily appreciating in value at the moment.

I've had a piece of this year's SAYE at the 242p option price for this reason.

Profitability wise yes, but where RR. comes into play is when they are cutting back flights that are marginally profitable or loss making at the current fuel price to protect their bottom line.

Admittedly not as profound an effect as with the airlines themselves, but still a knock-on effect.

Correct from a passenger perspective, however it puts a squeeze on the airlines' bottom lines as they try to remain competitive. Which leads to them potentially trimming marginal or nonprofitable flights.

cw1966, correct, BP. sp not relevant to RR. performance today, however there is a link in that the remaining high oil price (and chatter on that board of it approaching $120 by end 1H 22) is going to put a major squeeze on airline recovery, and henceforth our income stream from jet engine servicing.

Some real volume getting turned by 5GIF in the midst of all of this, loads of large double-tap sells going through today. As ever assuming it is them of course. Might produce a bit of drag on the SP short term but will let it off the leash quicker.

On nights this week Mon-Fri. Just woke up to a nice nearly 9% gain. Need to do them more often I think.

Same here, got two on the go already, am a little ambivalent about this one.. will it continue to rise and make a bit of cash, or will it just be an exercise in putting money into an electronic piggy bank for the next three or five years?

Got a couple of weeks to make my mind up I guess.

Hopefully the beginning of many in multiple countries. A good start to the week!

If our products are as successful as we all hope, how long do you think we will last before a bigger tech fish buys us out? It's a scenario that no one seems to have considered on here yet I consider it a real possibility at some point.
