Dr. David Ritchie is a member of the NT Inquiry Panel. (He is also on the board of Ninti One, who made the short list for the social impact study tender, ultimately awarded to Coffey.) Dr. David Ritchie has over 20 years’ experience in chief executive roles in Northern Territory Government agencies responsible for Aboriginal cultural heritage, housing and infrastructure in remote communities, land and natural resource planning and management, and parks and wildlife.
In July 2017, Dr. Ritchie was appointed as Chair of the NT Land Corporation Board, a division of the NT Department of Infrastructure, Planning, and Logistics. He was appointment by Labor Deputy Chief Minister and Treasurer Nicole Manison.
The Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics (DIPL) works with Territory businesses, industry and the community to plan, regulate, facilitate and construct integrated sustainable development and works across the Northern Territory. The DIPL released a Strategic Plan this year which, in part, lists "planning for Tennant Creek as a minerals and gas center for the Territory" as a Tier 1 priority.
