Didn’t see this posted but the Velkerri drilling and hydraulic fracturing program was approved last week.

Happy Holidays everyone
Yeah, still following, just soured on this board for a while with a lot of things being posted that I didn't care about and a lot of misinformation I didn't have the time to refute. Just some quick answers to your questions: I agree with BO that the horizontal leg is already in progress, and likely near completion. Reasons being is that the directional drilling is likely being geo-steered based off seismic, MWD, LWD, Image logs, geological models, etc. The core analysis will largely dictate the completion design, so they have time to drill the horizontal, while figuring out the completion design based off the core analysis. Also, have to remember they ran a full log suite in the kyalla on the Beetaloo W-1, which is just 20 miles to the south, so they already had some offset well control if the cores matched up. This is all very similar to the Kalala and Amungee situation. I would guess they probably ran a DFIT on this well, but was likely done in the vertical pilot hole. Should have these results before the horizontal is completed. Also, Origin has always sent their cores to Weatherford Labs for analysis. Weatherford Labs has been sold and become Stratum Reservoir, but is still located in Brisbane. I am still completely comfortable with what the future holds, just have to be patient. I have just come across too much information to doubt the potential of this play. There is a ton of info in the public domain that is not well-known to the public that reinforces my beliefs.
Oh also, the Santos groundwater testing release was made from the hydraulic fracturing taskforce in a community bulletin (link below). There is only a 6 month testing requirement. And I agree there will come a time, when not every single well will need testing but will use data from existing testing bores.

Gotta run, have a good weekend everyone
I agree with most of your post BO. Origin is obligated to falcon to complete the terms of the farm-out. It is getting frustrating. I think, at the least, shareholders should be made aware of the updated terms of the farm-out. Everyone praises POQ’s tough stance on HESS when they didn’t meet their obligations, but how about some pressure on Origin in the same respect.
You should probably familiarize yourself with the group Market Forces. One of their main tactics is to buy shares in a company simply to submit resolutions at company AGM's. The link is Origin's response to those resolutions/claims. It will be up to the shareholders to decide if these resolutions/claims should be explored further. These same resolutions/claims were made at Origins AGM last year, and did not pass.
FYI -
Resolutions 1 to 5 have been requisitioned by shareholders representing approximately 0.0145% of Origin’s shares on issue.
Resolutions 6 and 7 have been requisitioned by a separate group of shareholders representing approximately 0.0180% of Origin’s shares on issue.
It was discussed on this board last Wednesday, including links to the source.
The Blundy case was settled last week.
It is another step in the right direction.
Don't know why it won't let me post the link but it was discussed on the ABC Radio Darwin with Jo Laverty show from Sept 17, 2019 with the report on the Blundy case starting at 55:10
Origin Energy has settled the first lawsuit launched in the NT against planned gas fracking works. Amungee Mungee cattle station owner, Brett Blundy, started Supreme Court action against Origin Energy alleging they had been inadequately consulted on planned works and environmental impacts. Origin agreed they had provided incorrect information. The details of the settlement are confidential.
The picture of the Origin CEO standing on the pad site had all kinds of equipment in the background but hard to make out exactly what. A more recent video shows drill pipe loaded on a truck traveling down the Stuart. The previous videos were taken at the Hi-way Inn which is in Daly Waters, so only a few miles from the pad site. It's all coming together, and I am confidant the well will spud any day. A news release confirming such will obviously be welcomed by all.
FYI - the Blundy case is scheduled to be heard next Thursday. Hopefully a quick resolution will come of it, and we can move forward with the next EMP approval.
I'll also add that I have a feeling we will get some pretty decent updates out of the SEEAOC conference next week. I am sure this will be a chance for the NTG and the companies to start tooting their horn on the regulations that have been put in place and the industry kicking off again following the ridiculously long moratorium. This was the conference that Gunner originally announced the moratorium in the first place.

I haven't seen any chatter yet related to on the ground activity. I am sure this will pick up in the next couple weeks. And I will pass along any thing that pops up.
I did notice that Santos has another EMP released for comment. This EMP is for the proposed Hydraulic Fracture Stimulation (HFS) to be conducted through 2019-2020 at the Tanumbirini 1, Tanumbirini 2H and Inacumba 1/1H well locations.

Just shows how clearly the anti-frackers and their media buddies are misinformed or intentionally deceptive (or both)
Headline says: "A second approval for fracking..." - Was Santos approved to perform completions on their well??? NO
Story says: "It is less than a month since the government approved Santos' application" - Did Origin submit their application less than a month after Santos? YES. Is the government, under regulation, under a deadline to approve or not
approve the EMP's?? YES
Story says: "Those opposed to fracking, led by Protect Country Alliance, said Origin's permission did not come from a public statement like Santos, which as first, but by a new addition to a government website." - Was this website in place prior to the EMP's even being accepted for review?? YES
But, you guys know this, just like to rebut this crap even for my own sake at times.
In other news, the NTG just release an EMP for public comment submitted by Imperial where they intend to drill two wells at the end of this year targeting the Kyalla and Velkerri formations on the far eastern fringes of the Beetaloo sub-basin. Don't know where they are going to get the money after the AEP deal dissolved, but good to see more activity, and potentially more data points.

Right, don’t know why I got November stuck in my head. So I understand it as they are saying results for the 90 day EPTs should be available before July 1, 2020. If that’s the case, they are going to have to get a move on fairly soon with drilling to get both wells in, evaluate, complete, and then run the 90 day flow tests.
My bad, this was the full year results.
I copy and pasted straight from the media release, which referenced drilling in 2019.
https://www.originenergy.com.au/about/investors-media/reports-and-results/full-year-results-20190822.html
They do also keep saying ”calendar year”, which for origin starts November 1st. This may be causing some of the confusion. Either way, it appears they will likely drill through the wet season but not do completions until the spring. Which in reality may just mostly follow one after the other if it takes 45-60 days to drill each well.
Figured I’d start a new thread.

Oh lookie, the EMP just got approved:
https://denr.nt.gov.au/onshore-gas/environment-management-plan/approved-emps
Origin has resumed exploration activities in the Beetaloo Basin following the lifting of the moratorium on onshore gas development last year by the Northern Territory Government. Over the remainder of 2019, Origin intends to drill two horizontal wells and then undertake extended flow testing of both liquids and gas in 2020.
They are in bankruptcy, likely being dissolved, so I doubt we will see any filings from them. Unless a block trade or some other creditor receives/acquires enough shares through the bankruptcy proceedings to meet the reporting threshold, I don’t think we’ll ever hear who acquired/s the FOG shares.
