So after a fall back from their recent strong recovery worth pursuing the same theme as I can see the rise continuing to a maybe gentler climb next week. Pretty convinced MCRO and Saga still the most undervalued stock to potential assuming the world makes some progress with Covid

Aldi are really good value for wine T. S Stockopedia still saying why on earth would you want to trade TCM for some Swiss ' internet of things company.' Either wait till they get a cash offer or forget it. On the subject of Wine , the former Majestic company has been under the microscope today. Still loss making, but opening up in the US could be a great move. Certainly on quality of wine I don't think there is much to shout about and they are up against some quality competition in UK. So I just topped up on MCRO and Saga for the weekending trade. Hoping to average up for a change. Bon weekend as they say down the pub when its open.

Now we're on to something worth experimenting on. I got the Argentinian Zarriago Malbec. Not tied it before . Also St Chinian, have been buying Languedoc wines for 20 years now and always find them the best value French Wines. Sainsbury also do a great single malt Tamnavulinon ( our current favourite, having conducted several blind drunk tastings) offer for £18 now apparently down from 32 and 22. This is drinking responsibly and respectfully.

No I diverted most funds into Saga MCRO and IGP. with a half a dozen tiddlers. like MWE, SUR,KMK, CNC and AIR all of which are up a little. Trouble is they are quite hard to sell at times including AXS. As much as I like them I just don't want too many of them. One thing that puts me off AXS is it's cost and availability. I guess they try much aiming at the high end building trade as a sub for Cedar cladding and structurally challenging conditions. They have been at I while. The interesting tie up for me is with MDF. If they can make that more affordable and actually weatherproof, unlike the current 'waterproof' mdf. Seem to be concentrating on the American market where MDF is banned in California. I did read it was banned in Germany at one time. I used it a lot when it first came out, nothing like it but revolting stuff to use. There was a concern this could be the next Asbetos. . I just decided there are less agro risks to take in the end, like COVID testing!

Sorry about TCM. Yes I'm really miffed about that too. Stockopedia have been well out on this one. I sold out @ £1.22. which was break even. I think they get thinks such in their mind about some accounting irregularities which they were cleared of and the board replaced a couple of years ago. Amazing how these companies come out of the woodwork like that. Sounds a better a company and a far better price and nearer to them being Swiss. Not so keen on these part share offers to be honest.
I'm sticking with TTG for now. I'm fuming about the back lash they have received from the FT press and bloody science prof Deeks. as are Keyoptions. They are so up themselves . Its not scientific enough for them. I don't think The Australian, Asian, South American market are so stuffy. The beauty of it is its simplicity and not requiring laboratories or medics to test. you get a definitive yes or no answer from identification of a magnified photo. This means it can be used at venues air terminals theatre entrances, with a test that takes 20 seconds and can process thousands very quickly.
I suppose the biggest query is about the swab likely to get the correct information from where the swab takes the sample. Some opinions think it needs to come from exhaled breath. You would have thought with the billions of pound s being spent that would have been one of the first things to have been worked out by 'scientists.' Iabra is a clear cut yes/know result not a maybe. Deeks has claimed Iabras claim or 99.8 % was from 3 samples. I suppose this scientist does understand basic maths. So much for my swing trade idea, not that I sold any of MCRO or Saga which have continued the upward journey with good reason . Two of the most miss priced stock on the market. Stockopedia man reckons £12 in the long term (2 years)for Saga. Better bet than a 1% 2 year bond! Mcro must have plenty of legs still but possibly not quite so obvious. 100% medium term rise wishful but achievable?

M. Depends on your risk appetite. You could swing trade Saga and Mcro if they fall back a reasonable amount, they must be breaking several moving day averages trending up like a space ship. The other thing depends on your time scale. The market is pretty irrational with news about just about anything causing knee jerks all over the place. I have a few small caps doing ok, and am very keen on them but would be hesitant to recommend because they can be a bit volatile and illiquid when that happens. Doing much less trading now as have over churned a bit too often. Sometimes it works to concentrate on one or two stocks , or sectors, but with it been so random now I tend to look for value and hold come what may. I have one holding down 35% now SWG, but I'm so convinced the market is wrong I'm hanging on again breaking my own rules about loss limit . Will find out next week whether we have been completely misled because the directors keep saying how well they are doing. If I'd followed my rules on Saga and Mcro I would have seriously missed out. Think I'll give up on rules. The other big problem is directors are so paranoid about forecasting now for fear of upsetting the market if they fall short. I think that explains some of the recent sp movements. Right now the market is pricing in a V shaped recovery, could be all different again next week. I liked the MCRO story this morning which I was sort of expecting all though obviously from the recent sp it looked to be gong horribly wrong. Saga is the same DeHaan and the ex Superdry guy knew exactly what they were doing, Stopping an investment company running off with the gold. Plenty more to come there too, but might still be bumpy.

M. I saw Sainsbury are doing a "Merry Melbec" but I got the other Argentinian Melbec, should raise a glass to the two rising Titanics, Mcro and Saga . The building sector is similar TW. up 60% all because a vaccines might work if we can get enough of them.

At least Mcro could say they are 9 months into a 3 year turn around and up with director expectations. Just underlines about diversification needing to be in a good spread of sectors, and being patient. GL all

S. Its annoying how shares don't go up after you've bought them. They usually jump when I sell them though. You are in good company Black Rock extended position in TTG yesterday, Must be close to news on approval or not. I don't really see approval is necessary as no medical staff are required to administer the test. Just a question of confirmation of accuracy. KMK are developing a machine to test radioactivity and 'dirty bombs' in air sampling. They now realise it can be used to identify many other things from bacteria to virus. Only half way with developing that one, but due to show it to Trump in January as a leaving present. Bargain basement cheap at the moment. Trading back to pre COVID levels after bad year. Likewise I'Abras machine which has AI technology can identify different pathogens. Mcro looking stronger, what on earth going on there? Built up quite a stake recently mainly because of the persistence of directors which could be very misleading no doubt. Saga coming to life too. Our stockopedia guy is expecting to multi bag on that in a couple of years. Just in profit now after a dodgy start. De Haans average is about £4 a share after investing 100 million. Still cheap I think but he can afford it after selling up for 1.3 billion!

R. I think my two life passions are sport and music. I do find interest in Small caps, and I think one thing Farage is right about in his latest nonsense "Freedom and Fortune" is the need to take back control of our finances. This is no easy or light task. My experience of having managed funds has been dreadful I think I was about 8 when my Grandmother set up a managed trust of which I was the youngest beneficiary, and never expected to end up being a trustee 20 years ago. Basically the trust made very little money over a 50 year period, when it should have at least trebled or more, fortunately it did also include a small property which saved the day. The paper trail was horrendous and its now impossible to prove anything. In the latter years it was managed by Barclays Wealth only because they took it over from another management company, it was well under their limit in terms of worth. They did at least restore some kind of balance to it although I can't say I was overly impressed and they seemed pretty shy of answering too many questions about dealings within the trust. In fact I think they were discomforted by the fact that I knew anything about stocks myself. They are very clever thesee companies, they have a whole structure of management with client liaison managers who clearly know least of all. Pretty much the same with most UK Banks. I've spoken to Private Lloyds Bank advisors on two occasions and had One meeting with a Halifax financial advisor who showed me the door when I asked him how it would work if they defaulted in 2007. So yes we are doing the right think here, it a responsibility that probably the majority don't want to take or have enough to worry about loosing although that has changed with many widows sitting on a rapidly shrinking million cash pile. Did you see the last horror story Welesley. I remember seeing their advertising campaign with some ludicrous promise on returns.Immediately it spelled trouble to me. It may well have been bad luck, but more likely greed and stupidity. I prefer the honest crooks like the guy in New York, the rather aptly Bernie Maidoff (with our money)somebody who offered a ludicrous interest rate, paid the first divi and then ran off with the loot. At least his intention was clear from the outset! It was a great plan, apart from he was never going to get away with it! An English guy tried the same trick in France 'give us your money and we'll give you 10% annually.' Yep he's in the clink too. I don't know how many people ever get any of their money back.
