S. It was Johnson commenting on Michael Holding facing Peter Willey. So he actually did say the batsman's Holding the bowler's Willey without batting an eyelid, and the bowlers got two short legs, one of them's square. Just completely innocent observations. Aggers looks well set to follow with the most famous comment of all time on Botham treading on his wicket. 'he just didn't quite get his leg over' as he rather clumsily tried to step over the stumps. Both he and Johnson who gallantly tried to continue reading the score sheet with Aggers collapsed in the corner of the commentary box, giggling hysterically feared they would be sacked. That one incident apparently caused people on motorways to pull over onto the hard shoulders unable to drive in a straight line. I don't know if it actually caused any accidents. There was a lovely tribute to Johnson of that particular 'sketch' with the radio commentary over a film of an empty cricket ground on you tube shortly after he died. Still brings a tear to the eye.
My portfolio is quite small on numbers. One day half of them seem to be down slightly and the other half up and the next day visa versa, so over all value has remained pretty stable so far. Would be well chuffed if that situation is maintained over the next couple of months, but I feel the recent jubilation of finances and oil particularly, where demand is still falling even though the price has risen, are a little premature to say the least. Still looking for growth, so scouting for emerging markets, biotech and life sciences for the coming year, possibly through overseas funds. The uk market is still considered cheap, but quite honestly its been like that for years. A lot of the FTSE looks like a fully matured service market. My only regret is not buying into Boo. Think there will is still time. Could be the next ASC in 2 to 3 years. Certainly a possible 10 bagger over 5 years. I just think their product is such dross, but then I thought that about ASOS when they were under 3 quid. One possible hiccup apart from the ethics of cheap labour, is whether there be a huge backlash against the fashion industry, the second largest polluter after agriculture
