C. Actually being retired the time absolutely flies and I wonder how I have fitted in full time work! Root notched up 228, and Sri Lanka need 280 to save innings defeat.
M. Don't know how up to speed you are on Saga. They floated for just shy of £2 originally, because of the 15-1 consolidation after placing that equates to £30 per share today! The placing was for about 40% of the company, So lets say with dilution £20. Much of that money has paid down debt.
Dehaan bought tin at an average of £3.00 in todays money, which is a bit less than the takeover attempt in the summer by a consortium lead by a former Aviva boss, obviously after the valuable insurance arm. I should have trade these at least 3 times and made a fortune, but I didn't . Some times I think you have to bite the bullet and buy back in at a higher price if you get out of kilter with swing trades. Could never have envisage this going down to £1.20 low or unto £3.4 high briefly. All in the last three months. It is very volatile. It is now a small cap with a fairly small number of shares after consolidation. The accountant on stokopedia is convinced this will make it back to at least £12 in the next couple of years and it is his second largest holding after BOO! which he obviously thinks will rival ASC eventually. The spanner in the works for Sag is the continuing delay in cruising and travel currently offset by the insurance arm. They are poised to go with river cruises in Europe as well as two global cruise liners , 1 brand new and both exceeding the new regulatory COVID safety requirements. I can see this remains volatile and not sure at all how we bounced up to £2.70 this week unless the big boys are getting interested because they weren't too keen on the placing. Mostly funded by Dehaan and me and Stockopedia! Assuming we are clear to cruise this could double up in short time which is what stopped me trying to second guess, but have been topping up along the way . I think I might have even paid £2.75 for a small batch when it first flew, my average is just over £2.00 now, clinging on for a 6 bagger. Similar story with MCRO, except I was lucky trading that, GL.
