Good points T. There look so many tempting bargains out there that might well be more tempting tomorrow. I've opened 2 new positions ( IGG and Boo)one slightly up one slightly down. More or less traded myself out of buying back Saga or anymore MCRO, which is a relief. Probably top up new positions if anything.

Sold Saga for a small loss. the results tomorrow would have to be something special to stop this drifting back given current travel news. Bought some Boo on Debenhams news, they got a bargain there and not encumbered with those colossal stores. Also bought IGG, although that little sector has fallen across the boardI think they too have done a very good deal with tasty trades however stupid the name is. At least they are profit making. KMK well back on upward trend but will wait till the Zoom call tonight to see whether targets are as realistic as some say. Not enough solid news on finance yet to go in deeper. Could have bought MCRO at £3.82 this morning which was a bit scary. Just got too much now and needed to rebalance the old folio a bit. Seems to be recovering a bit. Been awake since 5 listening to the cricket, Exciting game with spinners putting England in a great position, but wondering just how tricky the wicket really is. I think Boo have done a very good move on Debenham brand. Should significantly widen and strengthen their customer base. Whole new ball game for them

Thanks T. This is from investopedia: There should be an existing downtrend in place before the pattern occurs.
The three lows should be roughly equal in price and spaced out from each other. While the price doesn't have to be exactly equal, it should be reasonably close to the same price, such that a trendline is horizontal.
The volume should drop throughout the pattern in a sign that bears are losing strength, while bullish volume should increase as the price breaks through the final resistance..
I think Mcro recent trading fits this description exactly. Will check the RSI though.

High T. Last night the sea front was a virtual skating rink and exceptionally cold. Just had our first flurry of snow but instantly dissolved. Quite a mix of opinions on direction. Some saying meltdown others say uk stocks are still cheap. hence M&A activity. I think some stock have had a bigger recovery than warranted especially finance, energy and building stock. As usual its a stock picker's market. Is it ever any different?

Anyone good on chats? Been looking at Mcro again wondering what to do . The 50 day average still has a nice sweep up. Bollinger bands have narrowed significantly. I think we are approaching the third visit to 393 since the fall from 5. There don't look to be a significant number of shorts open. Very low daily volumes so assume the drop is entirely down to waiting for the updated a few people selling due to those incessant bot trades. Will be watching a zoom conference on KMK and Kape tomorrow evening. Have mentioned KMK before. The potential for airborne pathogen detector is huge and KM K seem to have the best at the most advanced stage. Just want to get an informed financial opinion , before increasing holding which I bought back on the slight drop last week and instantly went up 20% to new recent high having fallen from 70p odd in previous years! don't often time that close. Saga could go either way before Tuesday update. If its up enough tomorrow inclined to take a quick profit before update. Anyone else with a view?

Good news bad news. Good that the rate of infection is falling quite dramatically, very sad that has been thought to cause more fatalities, which has been fairly evident from the figures in the last few weeks. The hard part is going to be what is it that is most effective in bringing numbers down. Must be a bit early for vaccine to have had any effect yet which is a good sign, because that should have a radical impact on numbers eventually.
Well done on the MCRO purchase R. I read someone on the BB unloaded 10,000 shares in Mcro sub £4 which might have helped achieve the price for your buy. He says he couldn't take the cleverness of the shorters which of course all adds to their game plan.
I bought back some Saga this afternoon. Apparently they are looking to sell their underwriting business which rather suggests I am wrong to think they might raise more cash with another placing at the moment anyhow. A lot can change in a couple of months. So hoping we will all be in a much safer position by then. Take care everyone and have a good weekend.

In a word T 'Yes'/ The only thing you missed out was the warning that the hospitality sector is like ly to stay closed till at least May. One of many reasons I decided to quit Saga for now, as I think they are being a little over optimistic on the travel front. I am very optimistic about the vaccines, but possibly too much being expected too soon again. Desperate for pubs cafes restaurants. Sadly looks likely to be many bankruptcies. Sorry, thats several words. I can see a substantial retrace in certain sectors looming now

morning brigade. I remembered in the middle of the night that Saga appointed Investec as joint broker with Numis on Dec 18th. Seems a slightly strange and unnecessary move. One reason companies might do this is of this is if they were thinking of raising more money. That has already been dismissed by some, but I have seen share move mysteriously like this before such an event. Anyway apparently on the thesis that the intelligent investor sells to the optimist and buys from the pessimist I expect to be picking up some more MCRO today! I dont know S. I can't actually see that many shorts on this. The volumes are incredibly low. Looks like its just us and Bot trades. Saving some in case it does dip under £4 again

I don't know about happy price S. But I can't resist at this price. Nearly all BOT trades. Cant see any of my buys published or anyone else come to that

T. It never rains but it pours. The news isn't good on the current health of the nation. What with Glastonbury being cancelled and advice that bars are unlikely to be opened by may even, I should think its quite likely that they might have to look at those cruise dates again. Shouldn't be a big deal for Saga but have decided to play safe and take the profit for now.Forunately half was in my ISA. Should be able to lay off some previous years losses against the rest it which is no bad thing. Mcro looking ever more tempting now. Think the range is 3.95-4.26 at the moment

There's me saying travel stock can continue to rise providing there is no problem with vaccine and a fire breaks out in India at billion pound vaccine plant. Anyway no effect on vaccine production so far. Just shows you though, can't take anything forgranted.

M. Totally with you on Tui. Had planned to buy in at £3. Obviously that isn't going to happen now. I believe the German government have given support like we did to our banks. Effectively part nationalised it. Yes T the shorters are working their socks off on MCRO, possibly because the volumes on it have been so low waiting for update., its an easy target. I think possibly the city have quite a vendetta on them too. Obvious they lost a lot of money on it last year and determined ti make it back by hook or by crook.
As regards Saga, I think unless we have a major disaster with the vaccine, travel and transport are going to continue to rise providing they are reasonably well capitalised

Morning O. Yes so we are now reliant on the government getting this organised after 4 million people have had the jab. I suggested this would be necessary back in October. Yet another case of the governments inability to plan, waiting to react to a situation. They haven't even worked out how to provide this information yet. Obviously digitally on the passport would be simplest, but no they want people to carry another ruddy card

I was trying to correlate Mcro revenue drop only 10% with share price at the level of last year, but I think they mean of the full year 19 results. rather than the sp this time last year which would mean there is an almighty upside correction to come. Obviously a bit of a stand off till feb 9th. Some how I think its unwise to wait till then. Hope I don't have to eat my words cos lost half a stone since Christmas.
Really pleased with Saga. It does get to the stage where you think ok this has been a lot of rise in a few days, but then I read that its partly due to Spirit of Adventure sailing confirmed for May 4th. I need to check that out though. Not as big a drop as I expected and have nearly completely re-bought the other half again FFOMO. Probably should have given it a couple more days. I can see how S feels. Its is a lot of guess work basically and easy to add 2 and 2 and and get a nasty surprise!
