Interesting that both sides only met in Turkey yesterday to discuss re-establishing respective Embassies and staff and now this announcement.

"Russia has named career diplomat Alexander Darchiev as its new ambassador to the United States."

A side show but indicative of a further warming of relations between the US and Russia and as they said Russia moving fast when they wish.

I've also highlighted protections that should be afforded under Joint Trading Agreements also (not mentioned) Perhaps one for the companies legal department and that of Zhevago to deal with. Worst case for me I myself interpret is that the other 50.5% that my holding would be in remains and is preserved. Would love to know the cross fire that it has invoked since.

It had appeared shaky over the last week and that had translated to the share price imvho but after the meeting with EU leaders at the the 3 year commemoration and a further more favourable draft there is cautious optimism. It's never there though until it's signed. Trump not wishing to meet Zelenski might simply be related to previous comments or character differences but imvho you need to keep balance in the negotiations with both sides.

If agreed today and signed I fully expect a meeting with Donald J and Putin to be next, and possibly next week.

Yes Zelenski arrives at the White House at 4p.m. GMT approx so any announcement I expect will come later this evening and once they have had their talks (and hopefully the signing).

Yiab, it makes sense for THG as that was the logic they used to refute all previous approaches but it didn't suit the acquiror and hence no further improved offers disclosed and the plug was pulled.

Just gauge the comments last night on here for instance and who honestly in their right mind is going to pay over the odds for a minority stake, and to to let this same Board of Directors and their track record continue to make the decisions.

and to buy what is clearly one of the most stigmatised stocks on the whole market

constantly misses targets and

and has to have a mass of concealed short plays on it and sitting just under 0.5%.

And with considerable debt as it is

and probably now missing the FTSE250 as well.

Do you not see that there might be a problem?

There are two big problems for Selkirk Group which would be that firstly they would be looking at taking a minority stake - which is always bad news and really hard to sell.

Then secondly compound that with the fact they would be overpaying at present prices and this stock is just so heavily shorted that it would have potential to just bring in a next wave of shorters and lose them their money.

It really would not surprise me if Kelso are one of the ones that have been loaning out shares to get their money back.

What a mess and barring an absolute miracle it's going to miss out at the reshuffle and it almost looks like its been conspired that way. Normally when you get the heads up and its indicative you are getting in, then funds buy and it rises in advance further cementing your position. Not here.

Much though I'd love to see it. I can't.

Didn't know what to expect with Starmers visit to be fair but the State Visit letter went down very well as did the visit. Just catching a resume on BBC news. I actually get the backstop position with US companies and workers on the ground and it looks like the peacekeepers will either be European or Turkish, but without Nato fallback.

All this volatility and downward pressure @ Remainco, when THG Ingenuity sits all stable on the JP Jenkins platform and with trading on a matched bargain basis and where you can forget all about shorting as it doesn't have the liquidity for it to work. There is an AGM in a couple of months where if authority was needed then it could be sought and they could be cancelled shortly after. So I don't buy that.

That is distinctly different form a minimum of 1 year.

People imvho were sold a dummy when they were told that any dilution would be given back "in time".

Not wrong but given 1 year+ was in all probability known by MM then it's probably been a bit economic with the truth, especially for those who bought into the line as part of the marketing spiel for the Placing.

Unfortunately though Kyk there are still all those D1 shares sitting on the Total Voting Rights which everyone gets reminded of at the start of each month.

Why on earth do people need to wait a minimum of 1 year for them to be cancelled?

Why wasn't it done on the Effective date?

It's almost as if the City is treating this as a dead weight around the share price. I really am struggling otherwise to try and explain why the share price is sat at 34p

Its all very well comparing THG to those it might be replacing, but as its been declining is there anyone with a higher market cap that is now more eligible? At this rate that same question needs to be asked the day before.
