So about £3.7 Million when you add in commission.

Nice daytrading short for someone, all closed and money banked. Or somone taking advantage and going long. I favour the first.

Chancellor controls the Exchequer purse strings so any change is important as are other engulfing National Priorities like Defence spending.

The interest also on the THG rebate if at 2.75% is lot less than that on some Gilts.

Judicial review would cost you probably £100k minimum and depend on the level of court involved plus you would need to get a court slot some time down the line. Far more likely they just sit it out and wait.

Crafty I appreciate your AGM post but several years back I recall someone going to the Cineworld AGM and getting to meet Mooky Gredinger the CEO and they came back all "starry eyed" and put most of their life savings into the company. Less than a year later if I recall correctly the company sunk, and was taken over by it's creditors and you can guess the consequences for shareholders. There can be a danger in getting "starstruck syndrome" when attending these events hence why I wouldn't attend even if I could. Not inferring btw that THG is anything like Cineworld. Just pointing out that it can cloud judgement.

I don't know if you have ever read any of the Naked Traders books but one thing he says to do amidst running a ruler over any prospective investment is to contact Investor Relations of that company with a question or two and see the response that you get. That being to tell you if they are engaged with shareholders or not. I think Investor95 posted countless questions to IR pre AGM and was told they would all be replied to prior to the AGM. NADA. Didn't happen. How many others have tried to contact them and got a Nil response.

Admittedly you are correct when you say "There's simply no substitute for asking the Board directly rather than relying on rumours, speculation, or anonymous forum posts." but any investor concerns and all of the afore that you mention can be nipped in the bud by an engaged and switched on Investor Relations answering questions and thereby nobody would need to bear the expense and time to attend AGM's.

Anyway they are doing well. Last results conference call only 2 analysts turned up, and at the AGM only 2 shareholders turned up as you have highlighted. Probably exemplifying a great deal of the problem.

Rob, sorry to disappoint you but I don't short shares. Never have. I buy and sell equities only.

I offer commentary and the only reason I can see for the AGM vote being for more of the same is that some of those voting are making a very tidy living out of keeping the same subjects in position and on the same not for profit course. It could even be the short positions who increased so as to gain physical shares with voting rights.

The strangest part about the AGM results wass that TGL polled more votes for re-election this year than last. But then thinking about it that might be because of MM's extra 209,086,400 shares that he managed to acquire in one go during the past year. Might account for a few increased votes for several and keeping things as they are imvho.

Just had a look at your posting history Rob. Not one comment off you today on todays results, and a page of posts amounting to at most two lines, more often than not one, and mostly always aimed at individuals. Perhaps you can you just clarify for everyone on here what your position is on THG, what you thought of the results, and actually why you bother posting at all?

So we go into the AGM at 30p, and having just looked at the AGM outcome, the vast majority of shareholders are happy with the last years performance and vote in favour of all the resolutions, including the re-election of all key Directors.

Absolutely astonishing result.

So big pats on the back and for beleagured shareholders another year on the THG hamster wheel beckons, and don't be surprised if everyone gets more of exactly same.

All I can think of is that it must be a highly lucrative business lending out your shares.

Sadly with todays results it's hard to see it stopping either.

Was due a bit of a rebound after the deal to end the Iran war given it was affected.

Sorry Cong I was oblivious to all of that. Just looked at the statement and that the price was only up 0.45% and had touched 30p again at one point.

That to me is a muted overall reaction to the AGM statement.
