In all probability probably months away from court dates and not without counter litigation and court action from Zhevago as he has done on all other occasions, in Ukraine and either the UK, the European Union or all.

In all fairness there will probably be a Peace deal prior to that, as well as Ukranian elections as part of that and probably changed faces at the top.

Zhevago did the other day go to some length to explain and quell some of the previous allegations mentioned again about illegally crushing stone and that ended up being a mere fraction of what was allegedly claimed.

Worst case - his 49% stake changes ownership to Ukraine, and everybody else's shares totalling 51% can still be purchased on the open market. But I doubt it will even get to that.

Keith Kellog has always been Trump's Special Envoy to Ukraine and all I had read today was saying exactly the same.

Not wishing to be funny but given the title you might expect the Russians to object on the grounds that there may potentially be some bias? Hence the Rubio strand of the team for the Russians and the Kellog strand of the team for Ukraine.

Fair play to Keith Kellog if he does go anywhere near the front line as being 80 years old he would be putting most of us to shame.

Zelenskyy to meet US envoy on Thursday

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he will meet US envoy Keith Kellogg on Thursday.

Zelenskyy, in his daily evening address on Wednesday, said he hopes for “constructive” work with the US.

We are scheduled to meet with General Kellogg tomorrow, and it is very important for us that the meeting and our work with America in general be constructive.

“Together with America and Europe, peace can be more reliable, and this is our goal,” he added.

Primary purpose of the visit off and running.

Trump assembled a large team and an all hands at to the pump approach to get peace in Ukraine.

One contingent under Keith Kellog is dealing with Ukraine and was at Munich and he is now in Ukraine right now, and spending a lot more that the 4 hours time spent negotiating in Riyadh. Ukraine now have undivided attention and ample opportunity to covey their own perspective, red lines and where there is scope for discussion and compromise.

Another contingent (Rubio, Witkoff, et al) are dealing with the Russians.

Mr Zelenski has got peeved off that Rubio met with the Russians first, without Ukraine present. (In fairness Putin has explained part reasoning) Unfortunately imho for his part Zelenski has gone and publicly levelled criticism at Presdient Trump. Bad move for a) he has prompted a pointed response from Trump, perhaps with some valid points, some perhaps not. But also b) because you should never bite the hand that feeds you (Billions of dollars of US Munitions, Air Defence systems, Intelligence has been channeled to Ukraine).

Over to Keith Kellog to get what he was despatched to Ukraine for, to gain the Ukranian perspective, (and to defuse the situation). His comments btw from earlier today as he arrived in Ukraine.

There will be plenty side shows, red herrings and commentators and press and media twists on events thrown into the mix as this progresses and many opinions either way but from FXPO's perspective ceasefires and peace deals are what we are ultimately after. Phone calls between leaders and Face to Face meet between Trump, Zelenski and Putin are all potential steps in the right direction.

The Russian president is also quoted as saying that US president Donald Trump told him that Ukraine would take part in future peace talks.

He also reportedly said that he would be happy to meet Trump, but that meeting still needs to be prepared.

It's about as conciliatory as I have heard Mr Putin speak in the near 3 years of this war.

Over to Keith Kellog and his visit to UKraine and talks with Mr Zelenski and Ukranian officials.

We are now getting first reaction to yesterday’s US-Russia talks from Russian president Vladimir Putin.

He is quoted by Interfax and Tass agencies as saying that he is ready to get back to negotiations on Ukraine, which is a priority for Russia.

He also praised the US-Russia talks, saying their purpose was to increase trust between the two countries, and that the two sides acted without ‘bias or judgment’.

More now from Vladimir Putin, who has said that Ukraine would not be excluded from negotiations to end the war, according to Reuters.

“Without increasing the level of trust between Russia and the United States, it is impossible to resolve many issues, including the Ukrainian crisis,” Putin said, referring to Tuesday’s meeting in Riyadh.

“The goal of this meeting was precisely to increase trust between Russia and the United States.”

Ukraine and European governments were not invited to the talks in the Saudi capital, heightening their concern that Russia and the United States might cut a deal that ignores their vital interests.

But Putin claimed Russia had not rejected talks with the Europeans or with Kyiv, and it was they who had refused to talk to Moscow.

“We are not imposing anything on anyone. We are ready, I have already said this a hundred times - if they want, please, let these negotiations take place. And we will be ready to return to the table for negotiations,” he said. “No one is excluding Ukraine.”
