Well I thought we were set to break the trend and head back up at one point today ahead of the Index review date but it looks like it has been sold down into the close with more manipulation and deliberately so that it won't make the FTSE250.

Furthermore I honestly think this Board of Directors have just given up and are now happy letting it drift lower and lower for the cheapest possible take private price. This surely has to be leading to angst amongst the wider Moulding family (Mum spoke out previously circa 51p to 55p) and even amidst loyal shareholders like for instance Brian Kennedy whom someone mentioned earlier or Tom Hunter must be starting to question things. They all must be harbouring huge losses.

The thing is normally you get the CFO, the Chairman or the CEO stepping aside with such a dismal share price performance but not at THG, they create new CEO positions on top of what already exists and the shareholders pay for any required security.

My final thought is that there has to be somebody amongst his supposed trusted and supposed loyal 51% (or was it 65%) who is lending out shares into the market for this decline to be as continual as it is.

It's getting really hard to see a way out of this spiral. Selkirk I'd love to see take 40% - but why pay a premium? Ashley onboard for 5% hasn't made any difference whatsoever?

At this rate THG will probably end up as a Case Study in Management text books for exactly what not to do when you list on the LSE.

I wouldn't laugh at those comments Magnum.PI. £75M for Nutrition would let Ian Mac's Selkirk Group take a large minority interest for say an agreed £100M.

THG seem to be doing nothing to support the share price. Kelso have gone silent and awol and seemingly have Selkirk Group.

Why would any of the latter 2 rush given the way the share price is constantly trending down for it plays right into their hands.

Well as it stands THG will not make the cut off for FTSE 250 inclusion.

Its about 13 positions short and would need to make up nearly £50M to £60M in market capitalisation by the 4th March review date. Needs a miracle imho.

So I think the more pertinent questions are when is the next FTSE250 review date and will he now step aside?

For me lets have a paid CEO without any ego or conflicts and whose sole focus will be on delivering a clearly visible strategy and value for shareholders.

Next AGM voting I think will be pretty interesting, if not unanimous.

So when does the Chairman buy al his stock back.

Major hurdle and stumbling block overcome and what looks like a definite willingness to end the war and compromise on Russia's part. Over to Riyadh tomorrow.

Trump imho will deliver a Peace deal and quicker than many are thinking.

Trump says Putin would accept European peacekeepers in Ukraine, war could end 'within weeks'

Donald Trump said Russian president Vladimir Putin would accept European peacekeepers in Ukraine as part of a potential deal to end the war.

Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, French president Emmanuel Macron said Europe was prepared to provide security guarantees to Ukraine, including peacekeepers, in the event of a ceasefire.

Trump said he did not see a problem with European troops being sent to Ukraine to serve as peacemakers, adding that he had raised the idea with Putin.

“Yeah, he will accept it,” the US president said.

I have asked him that question. Look, if we do this deal, he’s not looking for world war.

The US president said the Ukraine war could end “within weeks, if we’re smart”. “If we’re not smart it will keep going...we don’t want that,” he said, adding:

This could escalate into a third world war, we don’t want that either."

totally agree with you johnsilk and am also aware that as a uk listed company the high court in london and the icc will be good further optionality. tullow recently used the latter to good effect against the government of ghana for a completely different matter.

interestingly though whilst everybody is chucking their two pennithworth into the ring and jostling for position and playing to the cameras the real dialogue that will end the war is actually progressing in the background. that's actually what matters.

hopefully macron and starmer on their visits today and thursday come up with an acceptable eu buy in to the security guarantee side of things and things get woven together.

it's shuttle**** diplomacy being used by the us so far and developments can happen quickly and without any advance telegraphing or leaks.

Hopefully today being the 3 year anniversary of the "special operation" started might add some urgency to end the tragic loss of over 1.5 million lives. There is a definite realisation that this war won by killing your way out of it, hence they are happy for further ongoing discussions set for Riyadh tomorrow.

The Kiev Independent calling them ceasefire negotiations. Hoepfully also aimed at ironing out any differences on the "irritants" for either side.

What price do people see as a reasonable entry point?

Yes an interesting weekend of rhetoric from all sides on whether the war end this week or next, and on whether Mr Zelenski will sign the Rare Earth minerals deal with the US or not, and indeed Mr Zelenskis latest comments that he would willingly step aside for Peace and perhaps paving the way for elections as part of any peace deal.

But for me Zhevago’s comments on Friday evening after the market had closed were perhaps the most significant of the weekend and which drew very little comment, given the previous fall.

Firstly for it highlighted how the decision was arrived at and that it seems to have been without any checks and balances, made quickly and also without any sound legal knowledge and consideration.

Then further because it appears to aimed at targeting his shareholding of 49% in Poltava mining but as he rightly points out he like many US and European investors are invested in Ferrexpo the company and all of it’s wider assets.

Lastly that at a time when all the talk is about the US extracting and profiting on Rare Earth minerals this will only serve to deter other companies from setting foot and investing in Ukraine.

It also indirectly shows that he and his solicitors as well as FXPO's will already be onto it.

I'm definitely no corporate lawyer but even I pointed out similar last week and reading it the accusations seem baseless, full of technicality and look easily defendable once legal minds and judges get behind it.

In any case imvho there will in all probability be a peace deal be brokered well before this ever sees the light of day in any court room. That's if it ever gets that far.

Well I think we all want the war to end and in double quick time but we seem to get conflicts coming out of the US with what Mike Waltz has said and with what others are saying.

This from the Russian side and the Guardian yesterday and I have to say it would follow what would be a normal pattern of negotiations where the two sides positions would be elicited (completed by Keith Kellog Friday), red lines of both sides established and conflicting points for debate and hopefully some wiggle and weaving at compromise.

I'm with you on all of that and I also personally see these Trump outbursts as his orchestrated way of moving things to where they need to be. Mineral deal signed. More EU buy in. No excuse though in it all for factual inaccuracies.

Both sides in the conflict and in any negotiations will be looking for a win win announcement and the best outcome of negotiations is for both respective sides to have their own respective win.

Territorially for Russia if they freeze the territory as it is then they may class it as such, as well as No Nato membership for Ukraine and with perhaps Ukranian elections thrown in also.

The Ukranians might also see it as a win in that the war ends, and if territory in possession is frozen then they have Russian territory, they also get those much needed security guarantees and perhaps a pathway to the EU. ? on Reparations at this time.

But the reality of it all is that a one week "special operation" has turned into a 3 year war and both sides have suffered tragic loss of life and devastation and decimation of infrastructure, and the machinery of war. Sanctions and country withdrawal in Russia have also bitten hard. Not only that but in trying to prevent Ukraines Nato aspirations the very conflict has led to two of Russia's near neighbours joining Nato. (Finland and Sweden). Then there are still Arrest warrants and war crimes investigations and tribunals out there and to come.

So I have to say that although I think we are edging closer by the day and heading the right direction I think talk of declaring victories at this time is premature and there is a lot still to be settled like the detail on security guarantees and like reparations and on the lifting of sanctions. All of which

Things though are not being helped in the slightest at the minute by Donald J Trumps continued outbursts, the most recent being against President Macron and our PM both of whom are trying to assist. His comments and thinking only last night also about maybe no need to involve Ukraine or Zelenski in further talks / negotiations will not have gone down well either with Ukraine or European partners.
