I wouldn't be short on oil or oil companies with these type of statements being made.

It'll be interesting to see all the figures for Applied Nutrition.

It must be carrying debt like most businesses and it must also have Capex to spend itself to try and secure growth. Important bits all the articles seem to miss.

All the numbers at the minute seem to focus on what looks like a small profit for the £500M valuation and on it's growth record over 2 or 3 years.

I definitely won't be participating in the IPO.

Own view - Its only just starting. Netanyahu won't listen to anyone else. Also the timing has caught out a lot of short money and there will be a lot having to close up short positions or be faced with margin calls. Or having to buy stock back in competition with the buy backs.

Own view is that this is only just starting and Netanyahu will not listen to anyone. Oil price is only heading one way in the short term imvho.

Last two days I've personally thought anyone short on any oil shares is off their rocker.

Today, but moreso tonight, such quick moving changing dynamics and outside UK market hours have confirmed that and with the oil price rallying sharply and with Israel having already promised retaliatory action on all or any who attack them, then there is probably a lot more coming.

Looks like a lot of shorts on oil shares have got caught the wrong side of this evenings news and will either have to close or get margin called out.

Looks like the Houthi's are targeting the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden and the Straits of Hormuz again with missile strikes and drone attacks.

I personally think people might be in denial if they think this won't spread ( it already is) and that it won't drive up the price of oil in the short to medium term.

If you read my post at 09.33 this morning I highlighted it just after it occurred. Makes the Red Sea and the Straits of Hormuz that but more perilous for a lot of the worlds oil. The Houthis know that as does Irans Revolutionary Guard with previous sortes in that stretch of waterway.

What next also if Turkey are also siding with the Lebanese and Hezbollah. Iran and Syria !!

Spain condemning Israel and calling on them to desist.
