Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
Gkb, Not sure where the overhang stands or why anyone would sell.
But during March 2018, when Erongo was selling down I was highly sceptical on why anyone would think of selling - something must be amis. Yet the overhang cleared and the SP soared. So these things happen.
Does not guarantee it will happen now, but proves entities sell for reasons entirely unrelated to the investment case at hand.
So LCF is a lender to LOG which is a lender to IOG.
Was there news yesterday on LCF - because from about midday the IOG share price started to react negatively - without news directly relating to IOG.
I only mention as we have had speculation here before on whether some in the know could react before news is released. For my money - unequivocally yes.
“There is a growing demand in the [Bushveld] story from South African investors,” Edeh continued, “and a lot of cash in South Africa. We find investors want to deploy that in key stories and Bushveld is one of those.
“We have had a number of institutional investors wanting to take a position in Bushveld but to do so we have to be listed on the JSE.”
I attended PSG seminar earlier this year. (PSG is a South African Investment firm - GBP 3.1B MC)
- several 'experts' stated that a significant proportion of the institutional investment in South Africa has been liquidated in recent years (most notably the latter of the Zuma wonder years) to be held in cash. Sitting on the side lines.
- According to talks at this seminar, funds sit waiting for Ramaphosa to set the scene.
Mining is a sunrise industry and focus will no doubt be placed on this industry. Especially after recent GDP figures showed that despite difficulties in mining of late due to corruption - it still propped up the South African economy
And so I have, as many others recently, suspected that the listing on JSE is move to get SA institutions on board. By the sound of the quotes from Alliance news article, the institutions have been lined up.
“Bushveld will fund expansion mainly through its own cash flow, while it does also have the options of debt and equity. It currently has no debt, and Edeh said any taken on would be done so very conservatively.“
Just finished reading this article on investors chronicle:

“The auction may be needed to flush out more sellers to increase supply of an illiquid stock – but, clearly, this won’t be at the same price that private investors initially saw quoted.”
My question is:
- if the above is true, and we have seen so much activity in recent auctions
- But we also postulate that a big seller(s) can be seen active
- Why require such hefty auction activity if the stock to ensure liquidity is guaranteed by active sellers and there is really no need for auctions?
Endion (et. Al) you spend much focus on the auctions, your take on this would be interesting..
Never know what to make of this

Thanks IH,
In earlier days (with vested interest for me at least) it was actually debated as being an investing deterrent - the complicated company structure.
But the structure and latest annual financial statements as well as quarterly & half year reports are all on the company website, outlining everything.
If I may add. As you say, choose to do with other posts and posters as you wish.
But perhaps if your desired method is more pro active, add to your list of actions a thorough search of the avatars' posting history especially on other boards - most enlightening.
A staggering amount of what gets posted is PURE WINDUP just for the sake of it. Incredible but true. And so many fall for it.
Genuine question:
Who pays you to be here?
MM’s directly or is there a middle man low-life that has had to stoop this low to earn a shilling for lack of any relevant skill in the modern world.
(I am not able to bring myself to tag your avatar as I gag at the thought of what human must be behind it if I judge by your ‘fist’).
