Keysersoze: you make a very good point. It would indeed be difficult for the shareholders to be screwed given the US open support.
But, I am with Gipps that it is worrying in terms of it says that we have been treated badly. Hopefully the letter generates a positive response and is not too late.

Pecten: they weren't directors of the company that is being liquidated (if that's what you're referring to?). They were kicked off the board and the new board voluntarily liquidated it.

Dirk: you are jumping to a conclusion that may be (hopefully!) way off the mark...

Some initial thoughts on the reasoning for this:
1. It suggests an expectation of life post arbitration
2. But the ownership is strange
Does this mean that we are all going to be shafted? That's an easy immediate deduction to be made. Why not have them 100% owned by FRR? Our resident 'glass full poster' may have some ideas: over to you Madp. I certainly hope so! The only positive reason I can think of is that they want the Company set up in advance of any announcement, in order to ensure no-one nicks the names, but doesn't want us to know who the owners will be ... as our supersleuths would find out!
They then just transfer the shares to the consortium parties on the announcement and we all partake.

Of course it makes a difference what happens ... what a plonker!

Isn't this the liquidators doing what they do, and so following normal procedure? In this case chasing the asset. My understanding is that under the terms of the licence they can't get the asset anyway as it would revert to the GG (??) so presumably the purpose of this action is twofold:
1. earn themselves more fees
2. ramp up the pressure on SN/Zaza
As far as we are concerned I don't see that this affects anything. It all rests on the arbitration outcome and if that is in any way positive this will all go away.
All imo; what do others think?

The NDA with the 'second industry major' (see 31.10.18 RNS), later revealed to be BP in the court papers.

It sounds implausible that interest would stop accruing when there's a default on the debt. It would mean there's an incentive to default!

And if it was just 200million, most of that would be used up in payment of creditors and debts so there wouldn't be much left over. Which would then presumably be used to start Moldova and try to get the Ukraine licence.
