lowlife: none of us know diddly squat so the outcome could be anything.
But, given the arbiter is neutral then there should be cause for optimism as we have invested $400m and gleaned a load of valuable data so, worst case, should get recognition for that.
Having said that the only other AIM share I was invested in went to 'independent' arbitration, albeit the ICSID in that case, so a different body and they sided 100% against the Company and I lost all my investment.

alwaysbeclosing: there has been a lot of sympathy for the employees on here and rightly so if we are to believe what the reporters are saying.

Gipps: profit is after expenses have been deducted. Payment of them is irrelevant when it comes to calculating profit. So the total of the salaries would have been deducted in getting to the profit figure but that has no bearing on whether or not they have been paid I'm afraid.
I'm also afraid these theories about us having made significant oil sales do not stack up with the facts that we are unable to pay salaries, some lawyers fees, are laying off staff, not paid the Outrider interest and even the website bill at one stage. We have no idea whether YA have been paid. We know the debt was due and it seems there is no court action; that is all we know.
Other signs are promising but there's no doubt in my mind that they are down to their last bean.

Just reflecting back on a year ago when I was feeling absolutely sick thinking I had lost all my investment.
If someone had said we would all be where we are a year on, having heard diddly squat since January, I think they would have been treated with ridicule.
A year on, where are we?
Well still breathing, but only just. What do people predict for where we will be in a year's time?
Like everyone on here i have no idea, other than better informed, for good or bad.

Dave: have just looked at my share cert (dated 8 Feb). It may have come from Computershare Investor Services (Jersey) Ltd as their name is on the back.
It is signed by SN.
Presumably before he became the scarlet pimpernel ;).

Hoops09: the history is that up until sometime in the Spring, the Company were issuing share certificates to holders as necessary. So when my ISA holding was thrown out of my ISA I was sent a share certificate by Frontera for that element of my holding; the rest of my holding remains on my broker's books.
However, around April (ish) Frontera stopped sending out certificates. Speculation on here was that the reason may have been that, owing to shorting, there would be more claims for shares than were actually issued!
But the fact now is that given all the finance/admin staff at the Company are no longer employed, you will have no chance of getting a certificate.
But there's nothing to worry about as, provided you or your broker has record of your purchase, then if there ever is value to our shares, you will get it.

But imo you have a point. Despite the situation with court cases Zaza could have said something. The fact he hasn't is just indicative of the fact he doesn't care two hoots about us. But that doesn't mean I am not optimistic.
Zaza's treatment of us and his employees reflects his selfishness and determination to win at all costs.
My optimism is based on the combination of the increasing crescendo of good signs that there is a major asset and an outcome that will give Frontera a chunk, coupled with the fact that Zaza will want his share of the riches, which, unless something underhand and bad happens, means we benefit too.

No-one is asking you Parsley2.
But a group of well meaning shareholders went to the trouble of forming a group to endeavour to communicate with the Company. Adding our weight behind it gives it more clout.
If you think it is pointless then just go away.

Ok. FSHG will have potentially only have picked up holders who read either this board or ii. Some folks would have decided not to join the group for whatever reason. The only other holder I know personally (who holds around 25m) didn't want to join FSHG for his own personal reasons. My guess is there will be quite a chunk of PIs who aren't in FSHG. But I also guess that there may be shares held by individuals or businesses that Zaza might be close to and who Zaza might not want to cut out ... at least I hope that's the case!

Mick: out of interest, where did you get your figures from?
We know Zaza has 1.04bn, Steve 1.71bn, FSHG 4.4bn, which together totals 7.15bn. There will be a chunk held by PIs who aren't in FSHG.
Total issued: 15.761bn.
