Once the market appreciates the awful place we are now in with a likely hard Brexit it will come back down imo. It is already well off its highs."

I see that today the exchange rate is back to the pre-election level for the reasons I predicted. Unfortunately all my monies are tied up here or else I could have made some money on the prediction.

Anyway, currently your concerns are allayed.

Bedex: if we had money to throw at the court cases there wouldn't be court cases! We would have just paid the leech off.
None of us know what the outcome will be, but the one thing that does seem clear is that matters are coming to a head and we should have conclusive news on our investments soon.

In this instance we want out, and have been instructed to get a lawyer, with a deadline.
We can't afford a decent lawyer and, I'm guessing, a decent lawyer would want to do due diligence and charge the Earth.
So probably the sensible way to go...

I'm sorry guys, but posting stuff from lawyers' blogs is always going to show them in a great light. We should remember how some said that the other firm were the bee's knees and then they went in with all that Star Wars crap.
Lawyers are just in it for the money.
Period.
In that respect maybe we aren't the best client ;).

He did get to meet us yes, but at the last meeting he withheld what was going on from us and sloped off to avoid further discussion.
I don't think he cares two hoots about us, or his employees. But he does seem to want wealth and power and suspect that if he did shaft us that might be too much of a stain on his reputation to achieve the latter in the future.

CF73: Optimism is always good but to say the difficult news has stopped is wide of the mark imo. We have employees, laid off, unpaid, demonstrating and (anecdotally) now on strike, and clearly we have no monies.
However, agree that there does seem to be a flow of positive signs all heading in the right direction... fingers crossed.

If it's anything like the UK then the 'trouble of doing it' is very minimal: a few minutes and a minimal payment.
The significant thing is the fact that GOGC are involved. They must have consented...
Also of significance imo is the retention of the Frontera name. Why not call it GOGC Georgia East? Well presumably so that we can bid for other licences (eg in Ukraine) and point to successful operations here in Georgia.
So we have yet another positive sign ... we just need to get this over the line from the mega precarious financial position we are in.

It's interesting that DeClerq has sent this as aren't they the counsel who pulled out. I assumed that might be owing to an unpaid bill but presumably they have been paid if they're now prepared to submit SN's letter...
