I rarely look at Advfn but given erazzel's post I did this morning and I see that Lightstep has selected as his Avatar a house of cards dismantling. I wonder if this is betraying his subconscious massive concern regarding the increasing likelihood that after a year of laughing at potential 'fraud victims', it is us who will have the last laugh ...

greenhighlander: if we are to get anything from this I think there are a number of possible scenarios:
1. Take over of the Company. In which case we get cash or shares in the acquiring company, or a combination of the both
2. Sale of an asset (say the gas for example). It is possible in that scenario that a special dividend could be paid to shareholders. Monies would also be very likely to go to the Company which, in so doing, would increase its value and I would guess a relist would be likely as they would then be a viable trading entity.
3. There is a farm in and/or loan to the business. In that case the Company may remain private but is much more likely to relist as that would open up the opportunity for future capital raising. Relisting could also be a condition of the farm in or loan.
All imo. There are probably other potential scenarios, but none of these will happen until the arbitration is sorted.

IG have paid out there short positions. Maybe other market makers have; I don't know. But genuine short positions won't have done, they will be in the same limbo as us. But if this comes back to market they will have to buy back their shares at whatever the sp is....

It was insignificant when it went down. It is more significant coming back up as it going down was a result of inaction, whereas coming back is a result of action.

These sort of sites generally do not have up to date info in my (limited) experience. In this case we know that Levan Paitchadze has definitely left and that could be the case for some of the other employees listed too...

The timing of this is interesting. Normally one would choose to market something when the value might be perceived as at its highest; perhaps when supermajors are just piling into an adjacent block?

So in all likelihood it has been taken down owing to unpaid bills. This is purely another symptom of what we knew already from staff being laid off, unpaid, protesting, debts being unpaid, court case stalling, lawyers ditching us .... we haven't got a bean to spend on anything. If we are producing any oil it is either going on lawyers or to the liquidator. But all this pales into insignificance compared to the arbitration. That is the determinant of the future. The website was totally out of date and so useless to man nor beast anyway. Its disappearance is just the loss of a false comfort blanket.

So no conclusions to be drawn until the outcome of the arbitration.
