Oopsi: many thanks for sharing your expertise/opinion. Levan leaving seemed a big blow at the time so it is good to have what seems like a highly credible explanation for it.
We still have the recent departure of Kalandarishvili and his sidekick to understand.

I thought the article was positive! It mentioned that the arbitration was about to be sorted and we were finally going to get the VAT rebate.
I regarded it the same as the other couple of 'guardian angel' posts we had months ago where the posters were never heard from before or after.
And didn't one or two on here locate the original article anyway?

If the report yesterday is to be believed and, given the content, if it wasn't an article, it was an incredibly clever ruse/scam, then matters are coming to a head in the next few days with the arbitration.
Oh for an agreement and a move forward ... but I suspect it might take longer ...

Many thanks Jim for posting these documents.
Having skimmed through them my main concerns are twofold:
1. we have changed our representatives twice in the arbitration (maybe owing to unpaid bills) and that is likely to not help our case.
2. If we come out of the arbitration still with a portion of the pie then BP (or anyone else) is not going to buy our asset without there being certainty of our title to it, which, with this ongoing action there isn't. But maybe the action could be paid off?

Serge1: If we go bust then presumably it will be as we have lost Block 12. In that circumstance we will have virtually no assets and shareholders get paid out after basically all the staff, creditors, loans etc. If the Company goes bust we will get diddly squat.

To be honest, I hope they are ruthless in their ambition ...

Levan has amended his CV (link below) to say that he is still working for FRR, although his linkedin profile states he is now an independent legal consultant.

Why would he do that? Has the fact that him leaving has got to us all been somehow communicated to him? (Although that was first shared a few months ago). If so, why would he be bothered? It reads to me that for some unknown reason he wants to make things appear 'business as usual' ...

One really could write a book about all this!

Love to think you are right SB - but I have mentally assumed the worst. Any positive will therefore be a plus (just my way of dealing with it). However …arbitration decisions very rarely result in binary outcomes. And we have not yet heard one bleep from the Georgian authorities, so there is a lid on this as tight as on any other part of this painful process. So I do find it very difficult to see how an arbitration would go 100% in one direction and of course US:Georgia relationships seem very strong at present. Some key staffers have obviously moved on but I cannot see evidence of technical teams doing similar. Clearly as a minimum a change in structure has occurred - and we can only speculate as to the possibilities

Spudsoil: if that was the case then surely FRR would still need a finance team? It's not just the local Georgia guy that has gone, it is also the CFO (Kalandarishvili) who has been with them 18 years.
