Don't be so lazy; read the board like the rest of us. I've replied constructively to you before but when you constantly ask the same question, good will can only go so far.

This 'other hearing' sounds a bit like b o l l o x. Another one of their team could have done it. They're clearly wanting to delay for a reason; maybe hoping that some deal to be sorted by then, rather than rack up more costs. Maybe Hope's finally feeling the squeeze too of the mounting lawyer costs?

Madp: re the employees being paid up to April 2019, the article contradicts this:
"For the past two years, Frontera workers in eastern Georgia have not received their wages on time - either being paid late or not at all. As several workers have told me, this has led to a situation where some employees are owed up to 11 - and even 14 - months of wages."
The point about the oil revenues going to the liquidated company and then the liquidators not paying the employees has been suggested on here quite a few times and certainly has logic, but, if that was the case, then I don't understand why Zaza hasn't used that as the reason?

This bit is interesting:
"After unsuccessful attempts to get their unpaid wages through the company, in November 2019 Frontera workers held two protests in Tbilisi. A couple of weeks after these protests, which were not well covered by the media, Frontera laid off 84 workers. Eight office workers lost their jobs before this, having refused to go on unpaid leave. Instead of receiving their wages, they are facing unemployment."
This is the first reference I have seen to the circumstances behind the office workers leaving. It was picked up on here in October from LinkedIn as I recall. I emailed a few of them (repeatedly) but none replied. It's a real shame that the Company hasn't paid the workers as it has given the GG a stick to wave back, and presumably means that revenue has stopped coming in through sales. Although we have to assume that any revenue has been spent on lawyers fees.

Contra: if he were to pay Madp's price for us then his name would not be a misnomer!

Good to know that the basis of the taking over of the operations is not as a result of us losing the arbitration, so hopefully just to keep operations going from a H&S perspective.

Free: I had also had that thought about GOGC staff taking over operations if all the FRR staff had walked out and, if that is the case, it doesn't take too much embellishment to get to "confiscation of equipment".

So the reason why the letter was sent was that our assets have been grabbed by the Georgian Government. We know Zaza is (or was) in the States so he presumably went there to garner support, which has proved successful. We are in an even more perilous state than we thought. The glimmer of hope is that we are now firmly at the centre of the crossroads that Georgia is at and if they do decide to stick with their Western leanings (as the PM has suggested) then one would think they would have to start by clearly putting matters right in relation to our assets. Just some thoughts...

alexbigun: re suggesting Zaza putting out a statement. The suggestion is understandable. However we are arbitrating and it is probably appropriate that he (and GOGC) keep their statements to that forum imo. Going public would add credence to the Georgian politician comments and open him/FRR up for further questions/scrutiny in public. I hope he is focusing on hammering out a good deal (for us) in the arbitration whilst continuing to delay/evade the court actions.

These letters have certainly created waves and continue to do so. Even KK is feeling the heat ... :)

Gipps: what makes you think not paying the employees for 10/11 months is tactical? The initial report of protests/meetings suggested that Zaza was unhappy that they were looking to block the oil transportation ...
Their non payment, along with non payment of lawyers fees, the website (briefly) and potentially other suppliers suggests that we basically have no monies. If it is tactical then it seems to be backfiring at the moment ...

We know the employees are protesting as they haven't been paid. Whether they have said what has been reported is a completely different matter. A journalist can write anything ... just look at the Daily Mail!

It certainly sounds odd that they would say that. It may be that the reporter added that line to get his/her article published... but what do we know? Clearly the employees have been laid off and unpaid as we know they met Zaza.

It would be good to read your thoughts on Ziggy's 22.46 post as it makes a new point relating to the legality (or not) of the asset move?

StarRage: I can see ZiggyZag's logic absolutely. You're assuming that the asset transfer will be deemed invalid presumably?
If the arbitration settles and a SM or finance is secured then surely Outrider could be paid off which would make trying to undo the transfer irrelevant?

What is the evidence that the bank accounts are in the US?

Arsenal (or anyone else): can you please explain how this '5%' is going to cover the Outrider debt?
