CF73: the way I interpret what GOGC are saying is that the tribunal conclusion, for not returning the 99% in 2017, is what is the material breach. They say on their website (29 April):
"Along with other issues, The Arbitration Tribunal ruled that “Frontera Resources Georgia Corporation” committed material breach of the contract by refusing to return the exploration area (99% of the entire licensed area) to the State, which gives the State right to terminate the contract."
So the fact that FRR have now said that they will give it back is irrelevant as the "material breach" had already occurred.
I believe what we need to know is whether the tribunal said that there had been a "material breach" or whether the GOGC are just applying the terms of the PSA to what they have construed is a material breach.

Freescot: it is a bit more than 1%. I remember reading it somewhere, maybe a press report. 1.58% sticks in my unreliable memory.
On the GOGC website all it refers to is "almost 99 %". So there's no dispute it is more than 1%.
Maybe someone else remembers?

Another American congressman joined the sanctions act against the Georgian government. Republican Rob Bishop became the ninth member of the House of Representatives to support the adoption of the bill. Information about this appeared on the official website of the US Congress.

The bill, initiated by Marquane Malin, provides for a number of sanctions against both the Georgian authorities and former and current government representatives. In January 2020, Malin posted on Twitter an open letter addressed to Georgian Prime Minister George Gakharia. Bezzy: It is; so the company was registered in 1997. So why is there an update dated Nov 2019? Is it for a change of ownership (hopefully) or is it just for some minor administrative reason or something else? Would be good to know whether this is a complete red herring or a sign that at that time there was something going on.

It is really good to see an explanation as to why we don't want to release the arbitration result and our constructively conciliatory tone. This report also portrays us in a more professional light. It could still however be an indication of us being in a desperate position. The key will be how the GOGC respond... fingers firmly crossed.

You should know better than to come on here and say nudge nudge wink wink, I know something. It was obvious what would happen mate! And if it had been someone else I suspect you may have been questioning them like you are being questioned?

The reality is it looks really bleak here. Since the 50/50 company was set up Zaza has called in the senators to say we have been robbed and the GG have served notice. So it looks like relations have soured considerably.
